Katey stepped out of the portal with Taylor and Liam. Instead of being at the gate they were in the castle. The castle looked better and was no longer dark and creepy. It was bright and cheerful.
"Well, nice to see you back here."
Katey looked behind her and saw some familiar faces.
"Daniel, Aubrey." Katey said.
There were two kids right beside them. A girl and boy.
"This must be Prosephenie and little Ares." Katey exclaimed.
Aubrey was pregnant, and gave birth to Prosephenie then later Ares. Prosphenie looked just like Daniel, while Ares looked like Aubrey. Prosephenie was 6 and Ares was 3.
"Right. Well we have some good news and bad news. The good news is that we found Naomi. The bad news is that she's not responding." Daniel replied.
"Can we see her?" Katey mumbled.
Daniel nodded and started walking towards a door.
They entered the room and on the bed was Naomi. Aubrey explained that she was walking in the courtyard when she saw this bright light. Aubrey followed the light and found Naomi. She was laying in a pile of her own blood with shattered pieces of chains. Aubrey called the knights and doctors to help.
"She woke up while I was with her and said that the Shadow Waves have Megan then blacked out. She didn't say where." Aubrey said.
Katey sat by Naomi.
"Okay, I have to say this but I'm tougher than you." Ares said to Liam.
"No you are not. I'm older." Liam exclaimed.
"Sure." Ares replied making a serious face.
"Sorry, I taught them that." Aubrey said. "But they are tougher than you."
Then slowly Naomi's eyes opened. She looked around then rested eyes on Katey.
"Katey?" Naomi asked weakly.
"Yes!" Katey said.
"I was ambushed and captured by The Shadow Waves and woke up in chains. I saw Megan and then Annie took her. She came back believing that she was supposed to help them. She lost control and teleported me away. The chains exploded and this is what they did to me. You'll find Megan at Twilight Cove." Naomi mumbled before she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
"Is everyone ready?" Katey asked.
The last hours were arguing who should go and when. They decided to have Katey, Taylor, Liam, Alexis, Mylee, and Raylie. When Mylee and Raylie came they were so happy.
"Everything is perfect at the elf village." Mylee said.
"Yeah, Leo is now singing about you all the time. He'll have to sing his song to you soon." Raylie replied.
"And I haven't found any sign that Annie was at the gateway." Alexis said.
Alexis was the new gatekeeper while Olaf was technically their mailman.
"Anyway, shall we go." Prosephenie exclaimed.
"You are not going." Liam announced.
"Am I." Prosephenie replied, doing the same thing I'm seriously looking for.
"I like her." Mylee whispered to Raylie.
"Let's make this clear, you are not going and I'm getting sick of just standing here. Can we go?" Ares said.
"You are also not going." Liam exclaimed a little louder.
"Am I." Ares replied while doing the serious look.
"Why did you teach them that?" Daniel mumbled.
Prosephenie and Ares had been learning how to fight ever since they could walk so they were tough.
"Well it let's people, elves, or other creatures that are stronger than they think." Aubrey said.
"Annie is stronger than them, and if more members help we will be no chance for any of us." Katey replied.
"Well I think we should go." Mylee said.
They walked outside and started their long journey to Twilight Cove.
"Which way do we go now?" Raylie asked.
"On the map it says that we need to go west." Taylor said.
"But just to remind everyone that Taylor is terrible at reading maps. Right now she has the map upside down." Liam exclaimed.
"CAN YOU BE QUIET!" Katey yelled.
She was getting frustrated. They already got lost twice and were not even close to Megan. She knew that Liam would joke around and she was tired of it. Megan wouldn't want jokes if she needed to be saved.
"Calm down Katey. Instead of being grumpy, Megan would have wanted us to have fun." Liam mumbled.
Liam had a point. Megan would want that. Katey just wanted it to be like that but her sister was captured.
"I'm sorry. I'm just worried about Megan and Naomi. You saw how pale Naomi looked,and heard what she said about Megan." Katey said.
"NOBODY MOVE!" Mylee and Raylie shouted.
"Why." Taylor whispered.
Before they could answer a huge snake snake came out. It had green slimy scales, horrifying black wings, and blood red eyes. The fangs were a dark red and were as long as Katey.
"What is that?" Katey asked fear in her voice.
"A Dragisfang." Mylee and Raylie replied.
"It can't see but it could smell and hear everything else. It is very poisonous and can eat you in one bite." Mylee whispered.
"And the worst part is, this is the Dragisfangs' king." Raylie replied.
"Then let's be quiet before this thing eats us." Liam whispered back.
The Dragisfang slither closer and closer to Liam. Soon Liam and the Dragisfang meet face to face.
"Don't move." Taylor said.
But right then the horrifying snake started to speak.
"You have been caught, boy. State your business in my land or die. I promise you won't feel a thing..."
Liam looked over to Mylee and Raylie and they mouthed a yes.
"I am here to save a friend. She was kidnapped by an evil group called The Shadow Waves. I need to cross your lands to get to her." Liam said.
"So you know they return... the ones who betrayed me and my kind... sadly I made a deal with them... they did say that a group of foolish kids would come... and now I get to kill them... are the rest of these kids here or are they hiding from me..." The Dragisfang hissed.
Liam started to shake but the Dragisfang said,
"But I guess I Let you pass... maybe so I can just get revenge for what they did... but I promise next time I'll kill you..."
The Dragisfang slithered away.
"We survived." Mylee whispered. "We're the first people to survive."
"I don't care. Let's go before another Dragisfang comes back." Katey said as she walked away.
