Chapter 6 - (A Mistake)

"I'm glad that you are here." The figure said.

Katey looked at the others in the corner. Prosephenie and Ares looked fine. Daniel and Aubrey were knocked out and bleeding. Naomi looked better but ghostly pale and bleeding like crazy. She looked worse then Daniel and Aubrey.

"I'm sorry." Megan whispered.

Katey knew she was talking about Naomi but it didn't matter right now.

"Annie, you need to stop this now." Alexis said.

"What makes you think I'm Annie." The figure replied.

This had to be another member of The Shadow Waves. It could only explain why she was saying that stuff. Unless she was trying to distract them.

"If you insist." The figure said. "I'm one of The Wizards of Old known as Katelyn and your mother." she said as she removed her hood.

It was true. Right in front of Katey was her mom. She should have known. All those times she left to go to work was to only work with The Shadow Waves, and Naomi didn't erase the memory of her and Megan going missing her mom must have protected it. It hit Katey then that her entire life was a big lie.

"NO THAT CAN'T BE TRUE!" Katey yelled, but deep inside she knew it was true.

She had the same long brown hair and green eyes, it was truly her.

"Well I don't have time for this. I need to meet with the others soon so let's finish this." Katelyn said. "You know that we need someone magical to help us rule, but we have a new plan that requires two magical kids."

All eyes turned to Megan and Naomi.

"We'll never help you." Naomi mumbled.

Katey was surprised that Naomi could talk. She looked way too weak to have the energy, but when Katelyn started speaking she paid attention.

"You will help us or else they will pay the price." Katelyn replied.

She pointed a finger at Prosephenie and Ares and they stopped moving. Naomi got closer and touched them.

"STOP! LET THEM BREATHE PLEASE!" Naomi begged.

Katelyn put her finger down and they started gasping for breath.

"Now that you know what I can do, I'll give you my instructions. Megan and Naomi, you have to come with me and help us or else the kids will die. If you still refuse, she's next." Katelyn pointed a finger at Katey. Katey was ready for whatever spell she was going to cast but nothing happened.

Katey took a step in front of Megan. Liam came up and stood beside her. The rest of the group surrounded Megan.

"If you mess with Megan you will regret it." Katey announced.

"So my own children are working without me, but I'll tell you this you'll regret it." Katelyn said.

Naomi, Prosephenie, and Ares floated off the ground. Then Megan floated up.

"THEY ARE COMING WITH ME WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" Katelyn shouted.

"NO THEY WON'T!" Katey yelled back.

"Katey let us go I don't want you to get hurt." Megan replied.

Katey saw the fear in Megan's eyes. Katey took a step back. She couldn't let them get hurt.

"Good choice." Katelyn said.

Katelyn raised a cube that looked like the one Katey had. Then they disappeared. Katey realized that they took Prosephenie and Ares too.

"No." Katey whispered.

It wasn't worth saving Megan. They lost her again and three others. It was over The Shadow Waves won, but maybe there was hope. Katey knew they had to try.

"Stay safe Megan," Katey said. "I will defeat them, and save you and the others if it's the last thing I do."
