I woke up the next day to the sound of my alarm which I had set for 6 am due to the fact I had barely had the chance to work out since the incident.

I laid on my bed still extremely tired which had me wondering what was the point of sleeping?

I sat up with the little strength I had before stretching.

Despite my body's pleads for sleep I stood with a yawn as I headed to the bathroom to take a shower that I hoped would wake me up.

-

After my shower I brushed my teeth then changed into the outfit I'd usually wear anytime I decided to workout.

I looked in the closet mirror taking in the grey sports bar that had matching leggings and shoes.

I placed my hair into a high ponytail since I didn't want it to get in my way.

Soon I left my room starting my journey to the gym even though my stomach was telling me to eat breakfast first.

"Natalia, how are you?" I looked up meeting Ryan's eyes as I walked down the rest of the wooden stairs, the middle was covered by a floral blue carpet.

I could feel irritation building inside my chest as he stood before me.

"I would feel better if you left," I admitted with a forced smile before moving past him, but he was quicker since he was once again, standing in front of me.

"Can we talk?" He asked, hope filling his voice.

"I'm good. I have things to do." I said while brushing past him deciding to go to the kitchen for some fruits since I knew it wasn't a good idea to work out on an empty stomach.

Much to my dismay, he followed me.

"Natalia, what will it take for you to forgive me?" I ignored him as I opened the fridge taking out grapes and a banana that was already in a bag.

I took a water bottle in my hand before closing the fridge.

I moved past Ryan as I headed towards the gym.

"How about dinner? Tonight?" He persisted, I rolled my eyes turning to him.

"My capacity for your bullshit has already reached its limit, so I think not."

"When will you forgive me?" I knew I was now wearing a scowl on my lips which added to the hostility I was already giving off.

"You know times like this make me wish the person had poisoned you instead." I walked past him once again and this time he let me go.

It didn't take much time for me to arrive at the gym.

When I entered, I was greeted by the sight of Alessandro continuously hitting a punching bag, but the sound of the door closing had him stopping and turning to me.

"Good morning," I said loud enough for him to hear as I took a sip of water before resting on the ground.

"Good morning, Natalia. How are you?" He inquired while watching me peel my banana.

"Tired, you?"

"I'm fine now that you're here." I rolled my eyes but smiled slightly at this.

"Does that line really work?" He shrugged.

"Sometimes." I chuckled amused at this.

I slipped the banana between my lips enjoying the taste as I bit into it.

I met his eyes for a second but he looked away clearing his throat as he bent down to tie his shoes.

I threw my banana away in the bin before turning back to him since he was busy it gave me the chance to take him in.

Like always I wasn't disappointed since he came here he had been in suits nothing gave me a hint about what was hidden underneath all that fabric, even now he was wearing a black sleeveless sweater and shorts that matched.

His muscles were big but not to the extent that it looked too much in other words—it was perfect for his body frame.

I wondered how it would feel if he'd—I instantly pushed the rest of that thought away as I knew better than to indulge in the feelings I was developing for him.

"You can join me if you would like." He said drawing my eyes to his face as he stood.

"What exactly did you have in mind?" I asked while setting my bag of fruits down before walking towards him.

I pretended not to feel the fastening of my heart as I stood in front of him.

"Hand to hand combat?" I smiled at this.

"Sure."

We both immediately began circling each other as we silently waited for the other to make the first move.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked warily.

"Are you scared to hit a woman?" Alessandro smiled shaking his head.

"No, I just don't want to hurt you."

Usually, I would have said a smart remark but hearing those words had my heart softening.

I didn't answer as I threw a punch at him which he dodged. "No response?" He asked amused.

I hurled another punch this time I hit him right in his jaw though it didn't seem to affect him much as he just smiled.

I kept heaving punches and kicks but he did nothing but try to dodge every one of them.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't growing frustrated by the second. "Fight back," I ordered and he didn't.

"Fight back," I said once again and this time he caught my fist, twisting my hand, forcing it behind my back as he brought me to him.

He stood behind me as he held my hand firmly before I had the chance to elbow him, he brought my next hand to my back.

I tried to break free from his grip but my efforts were deemed useless.

"How's this?" He inquired softly allowing his hot breath to kiss my skin.

"It's uh good start, but you do know you can hit me, right?"

"Natalia, I don't want to hurt you in any way." I shivered as his breath was now against my neck.

I could feel my breathing get uneven, I tried to control it as I spoke again.

"You suggested hand to hand combat."

"And I regret that suggestion."

"Are you ok?" He asked me.

"Yeah," I said almost breathlessly.

"Are you sure? Because your breathing is uneven." He teased with visible amusement even though I couldn't see his face I knew he was smiling.

Third Person P.O.V

"Do you want to go for a walk?" He asked her.

"Sure." He released her hands allowing her to face him.

He looked down at her slightly bruised wrist which had him holding them.

"I apologize I didn't realize-" She stopped him with a smile.

"It's alright." She assured him as he rubbed them softly she felt light-headed.

"How about that walk?" Natalia immediately came to her senses, she knew better than to go on that walk as it would probably lead to something she wasn't sure she was ready for.

A relationship.

"I just remembered, I have things to do, but thanks for the offer." She walked away from him, leaving the gym entirely.

Natalia knew she needed to distance herself from him because she was drawn to him for no apparent reason.

But the question is was he drawn to her?
