Natalia woke up to feathery kisses against her neck, "Good morning." She grumbled softly catching his attention as he leaned up meeting her eyes.
"Good morning beautiful," Alessandro whispered with a bright smile, brushing her soft hair away from her eyes.
"What time is it?" Natalia leaned into his warmth as he answered her question. "9." She groaned knowing they would have to get up soon.
"My mother likes to come in unannounced, it's only a matter of time before she comes to-" He halts her sentence with a kiss, her hands moved up his back pulling him closer to her.
Natalia didn't know what it was that drew her to him, she didn't know why she was so captivated by him. When he wasn't around he was the only thing on her mind, at first it annoyed her but now she grew comfortable with the fact that he would always be on her mind whether she liked it or not.
Alessandro held her in his arms, relishing her body, her lips and the sounds they would make from his touch and kiss. He didn't think it was possible to be so enthralled by one person, but Natalia made the impossible, possible.
She made him weak for her, the type of power she had over him would be something his Mafia would frown upon since it was a sign of weakness to them, but he didn't care.
He was like a sailor and she was a siren, even though he had been warned to stay away from her side of the ocean she would always draw him in, making Alessandro forget everything he had learned...everything he had been warned about. They said sirens lead sailors to their death, right now he didn't care if she led him to his.
Natalia sighed pulling away, "Last night was..." She trailed off making him frown. "Don't tell me you think it was a mistake." She shook her head, sending a shock of reassurance through his body.
"No, I loved every minute of last...I enjoyed every minute of you." He smiled planting a quick kiss on her lips.
"I feel the same way. You were amazing...you felt amazing." A coy grin made its way to her face.
"I know, but Alessandro I'm engaged. We can't do this." The frown from earlier appeared on his face once again, disappointment coursing through his body as sadness coursed through hers.
"Natalia, I know you were promised to your fiance, Eric, because of some deal your parents made." She raised a brow, confused about how he knew.
"Who told you?"
"Your father. Why were you so against telling me the truth? He didn't seem to mind." Natalia looked away from his brown eyes as she spoke.
"I didn't want our relationship to be like this...I didn't want you to be sneaking around with me." Alessandro gave her the best smile he could conjure up.
"I don't mind sneaking around as long as I'm with you." He insisted.
"So you're totally fine with the idea of him kissing me? Touching me?" She caught the dark look in his eyes, she had seen the same look when she was training with Ryan.
"No, it makes me want to kill him," Alessandro admitted she gave him a look of sadness. "Which is exactly why sneaking around won't work. We can still be friends but nothing more."
"Natalia, I can't be just friends with you."
"I'm sorry Alessandro but we can't continue this, no matter how much we both want it." He wanted to protest, but what was the point? He knew she was right, even though he didn't want to admit it to himself, he knew.
"I should go then." She nodded going against every bone in her body and every thought in her mind.

Natalia entered the kitchen her stomach had been growling from the lack of food, she couldn't help but lose her appetite when she saw the 3 people she despised due to their decisions ruining her relationship with the one person who actually cared about her.
"Good morning." Eric greeted, she walked past them getting a glass of water from the fridge before taking up a plate of food from off the counter. "Natalia where were you last night?" Nicole pried.
"My room." Her answer was short and her voice was cold. You would think that would be enough to indicate her desire to not conversate but her mother continued.
"By yourself?" Natalia placed her plate, on the table before taking a seat. "Your questions alone are awfully obvious that you know something. Don't beat around the bush mother, please tell us what is it you want me to confess so badly?" She even spare her a glance as she ate her food, calmy but her grip on the fork hinted at her irritation.
"I know Alessandro was in your room last night." Natalia rose a brow, "Oh? What about it?" Eric spoke up this time.
"Your mother has already told you that I want our marriage to be a faithful one." She took a sip of her water which helped her to swallow the food she had just chewed.
"You expect me to have sex with you?" Natalia questioned him, her amusement was clear as day.
"That is what married couples do."
"Eric, in case you've forgotten, this is a contracted relationship, not a real one. I will fuck whoever and whomever I want to. You're free to do the same." As if planned, Alessandro and Alessia entered the room, the tension in the air grew.
Natalia glanced at Alessandro for a second, taking in his handsome features, memories from last night came flooding back, every groan, touch and scream now clouded her mind. She forced herself to look away, but no one knew how much strength it took.
"Good morning." Alessia greeted everyone with a smile hoping to relieve the tension.
"Alessia, right?" Eric asked deciding not to push Natalia further, especially with the two new faces in the room.
"Yes, it's nice to meet you." Alessandro took a seat next to Natalia, making her whole body freeze up in his presence.
"You look so beautiful." She met his eyes, both of them knowing what they wanted to do, but their minds stopped their bodies from fulfilling their greatest desires.
"Alessandro..." Natalia tone was a warning one, she didn't know how she managed to keep a straight face around him when all she wanted to do was break out in smiles.
"I'm just stating a fact, anyone could have made that observation." She rolled her eyes chuckling slightly.
-
The second Natalia left the kitchen she was pushed against a wall, she couldn't say anything as lips covered hers, strong hands held her face.
The sweet scent of roses met her nose, telling her it was Alessandro, she closed her eyes pressing her body to him before pulling back, reminding herself they were out in the open.
"Alessandro, don't make this harder than it needs to be." She said looking around. "Natalia, I can figure out a way to break off the contract, j-" Natalia shook her head cutting him off.
"No, there is no way. I already told you, this can't happen no matter how much we want it to. I'll be with Eric and you can be with whoever you want." Alessandro sighed expressing his frustration.
"Look me in my eye and tell me that's what you want." It took her a minute but her eyes met him in a long stare.
"It's what I want." His hands dropped from her cheeks, as he straightened his stance, nodding.
"Then, I'll leave you alone."
