It was the next day, I was currently in my father's office informing my parents about Jen's confession.

"I think it's safe to say that we need help from the Italian mafia since this R person is coming for us both." My father stated in deep thought.

"Natalia, could you get Alessandro? I need him to sign the contract." I nodded trying to push down my nervousness as I left his office.

My heart was going at an impossible speed as I walked closer and closer to Alessandro's room.

Memories from last night rushed through my head like a river falling off a cliff.

My anxiety rose with every step I took as I tried to rack my brain about what I'd say to him.

Luckily I caught the sight of Alessia walking down the stairs which brought an idea.

"Alessia."

"Natalia, how are you? I heard about Andrey." She asked with a smile, I returned that smile before speaking.

"I'm fine and he'll get better soon," I told her even though I wasn't really sure myself.

"Could you please tell Alessandro to come to my father's office? He wants to discuss some business." Alessia nodded completely unaware of how relieved I felt at her answer.

"Sure."

"Thanks, you can come too if you'd like?"

"I'll be there." I sent her another smile before I went back to my father's office.

When I entered his eyes immediately searched for Alessandro.

"Where is he?"

"He's coming," I told him as I took a seat, scrolling through my phone in hopes to distract myself from my thoughts.

After a few minutes of waiting the door opened, revealing Alessandro and Alessia.

"Good morning." They greeted us, their voices filling the room.

Only one voice made me anxious and tense.

I could feel his eyes against my skin tracing my entire body.

"Good morning." My parents replied.

"Follow me." My father ordered as he opened a door that was to the right of his bookshelf.

We followed him as he walked in.

My eyes scanned the room I had only been in a couple of times since this is where my father would occasionally hold meetings.

"Please take a seat." We all complied.

"Why did you call for me?" Alessandro asked, even though he was talking to my father his eyes were on me.

I avoided his gaze knowing the feelings that would come from it if I dared to stare into his captivating eyes.

"Well since this R person is scheming to attack both our mafias I think it's best you sign the alliance contract. You can read through the conditions." My father started.

"I've also added the ones you requested at our last meeting." He finished.

"Let me see." My mother passed the contract to him.

As soon as he got it, he read over every line carefully as this contract would seal the fate of his entire mafia.

"Everything looks good, but I'll have my consigliere look it over before I sign anything," Alessandro told him glancing at me before moving his attention to my father.
