When you walked away
I decided we were over.Until
My fallen gaze realized you had dropped
Love letters
For me.
Left a trail
For me.
Like you didn't want to leave me.So I picked each one up and read them aloud
Until I couldn't feel anything else besides
You.One after the other, I followed behind you
Eager for the last piece
Which would be
In your hand
Before you pressed it into my chest
And smiled
At me.I wish I knew then that you were simply
Discarding all the love poems I had previously given to you.I guess, these are the types of poems I write for you now
Author's Note
Welcome to the beginning of "Today I Passed Your House And Realized I Wasn't Over You". I wrote these next twenty-something poems in a daze and when I read them back every single emotion flows through me again and I almost shed a tear. You, perhaps, won't cry in the same way I do but I hope you at least feel something.
This poem is dedicated to sizziewaltz because I said March 15th was the release date and she came back here at the stroke of midnight just to check. Thank you for the love and I hope you don't hate me for releasing it at midday instead lol. Remember if you guys vote and comment the next dedication could be you!
