Like many other things,
I am sure you lied to me when you told me you liked my poetry.Your mouth curved downward in distaste
Your eyes rebounded off the walls
I saw your hand adjust in place
When you took up your phone despite no calls. It is almost as if you knew,
I would someday be writing them about you.I hate that you were right
