Chapter 2: first night with you

DANIEL'S POV

Jihyo? "Sir..K-kang I didn't really notice! Mianhae!" I would probably fire her now for bumping into me, but I gave her the chance since she messed up. "That's nothing, where were you? I saw someone kidnapped you, I've- we've been looking for you" I almost embarrassed myself for saying that I'm the only one who is worried sick. What? "Uh..it's nothing, just other friends who were planning a surprise party for me...haha" WHAT?! I have been worried for her then some friends of her were just surprising her all along?! Argh she wasted my time!

"Next time be careful? I called the police thinking that you're kidnapped!" Raising my voice to her was my fault. I should've thought before speaking. This is absurd! "Mianhae..jinjayo..I'll be heading now..sorry for bumping into you Sir.." I can see her stutter but it doesn't matter. She's probably scared of her boss. I kinda want to show that I can be a fearless boss, but she would think I'm hitting on her, pathetic. Like I'll do that. The last time I helped my model, she tried to kiss me when I was sleeping! Disgusting as heck! I scolded her and fired her. Girls these days..but if I do help her this one last time, will Jihyo be like those other flirts?

"Stay at my home, inform your friends they'll worry for sure. I'm not whatever you're thinking. I want my new model to have a great day on her first day" Yes first day. This little model of mine can be my assistant too you know. She'll pay for worrying me. "Ah..anything sir!" Her gummy smile of hers faced my cold dark face. How can she be so bright, while I'm the exact opposite. That's why people in the office fear me. I hope she won't too so I can see her daily smile. Kang Daniel what are you even thinking?!

JIHYO'S POV

Woah daebak!...sir Kang Daniel's place really looks like heaven! Hajima! He might think I'm like a gold digger! But seriously wow. I thought he was going to be mad for a second, because rumours say that he's known to be strict and harsh to the officers or whoever works there. But I think they are all being delusional and lying. How can Sir Daniel have a big kind heart and he's not showing it to them then? Why is he acting cold when he's actually nice? I don't know, but my first impression of him is one bonsang! I was shocked that his maids were setting up dinner, am I going to eat at his place?! This is actually embarrassing... I look like his...no way! "Sir thank you but this is enough for me.." I can't accept this. He's giving double the amount of money, more than Nayeon and Tzuyu's!. I swear if I could do something in return, it would probably me accepting his kind offer.

"Miss Jihyo, in order for you to be healthy while doing my orders, I need you to treat you right. Now please sit down and eat" i followed now because he might get angry if he keeps insisting. Once the food dissolved inside my mouth, I could already feel heavy. Hmm so delicious! His choice of cooks are the best! I slowed down a bit thinking I'm dead hungry. "Sir D-daniel, where is Mr. and Mrs. Kang? I don't know why in the world I asked that but I'm just curious about where they are.

"On their house. This is my own house and they will just disturb me if we'll stay in one house" wow..he is really that cold to describe his parents like that? eh , I don't wanna be involved with his problem right now. While I'm happily munching my food, he shot a question, "Where do you live? So I can drive you home. You'll be my model assistant, Is it okay for you? I'll double the cash if you want" Even if I am going to be his slave, I won't accept that huge money. He'll think I am a gold digger. "Anything sir! Again you don't have to.."

"I insist" why does he keep on insisting? Sigh, I guess it'll be his way then. He raised an eyebrow to me and Oh! I forgot he was asking where I live! Pabo Jihyo! "Right..I live alone near the building" I didn't really put that many details on where I live because he looks satisfied with my answer? Well I can't judge people. "I'll be going upstairs to change, you'll sleep here tonight, use the maid's clothes. And, you'll be the one who will wash the dishes, got it?" Huh? Is he really going hard on me? Of course because he helped you alot Jihyo! Well looks like I have to get my hands wet for tonight.

DANIEL'S POV

Can't really believe I made her my assistant, and maid..whatever she deserves it. I changed into pajamas and maybe sleep, but I want to keep an eye out for Jihyo. She may be nice, but she still hasn't gained my trust yet. I usually sleep early since I stress myself out during the day, and too tired to do anything. I finished my work very early, so I could relax for the meantime.

Everyone, even my parents, has no idea how chill I am. They think I am very grumpy at times that all I could think about is to get angry. All my life I have been wishing, hoping for a vacation, but some plans were delayed by work. Why is it so hard to be a busy man? Sigh, I think it's time to check on Jihyo if she's doing alright.

I tried not to make a sound while going down. I don't want her to see me checking up on her, or else she will think I'm a creep. As I got down and took a glimpse at the kitchen, my eyes fell down to the woman who was washing the dishes. I squinted my eyes if I really saw some stranger, but no. The woman who was washing the dishes, humming a song, wearing pink gloves, looked very tired but her beauty was in n' out. Jihyo. She was dancing with no music, which I find very hilarious and cute..No way. I can see that she really wants to sing out loud but too afraid maybe someone might catch her.

"Otokeeeeee!" woah..her voice. She hit that high note really well in 'Like ooh ahh' song. I started clapping for her and she stopped singing. No I didn't mean to make a sound! I still want to hear your voice- shut up Daniel. "Ergm..you should debut as a singer" What am I saying right now? Am I actually complimenting her?! "Ah, mianhae.. I'll go back to washing the plates.." What have you done? Whatever, she's lost.

"Sir Daniel it's not like I'm hating on you, but why do they think that you're cold...?" Sigh, she's probably hating on me right now, and that is what you want right Daniel? You want her to hate on you! "Mianhae..you don't need to answer. But I think they are wrong.." what is she saying? Then she continues, "There are rumours saying that your heart is hard as a rock, but they mistreated you Sir, I'm just being honest not because you are doing a lot for me but...I think you have a kind heart.." Did she just compliment me? I can't think straight. It's my very first time to hear a compliment, a true one..

"Gomawo, but how come?" My raspy voice needed to show. Hearing this from an unfamiliar woman yet beautiful. "I think, no you are a nice person. If you're not nice, how come you offered me to eat and sleep here? I know it's part of the work but why would you let anyone, a stranger sleep in your house? Mianhae..jinja..it's that..I can't say it..but I know you're nice." Am I hearing this right? Did she say I'm nice? Silence happened and neither of us spoke. "Sir I'm done washing, do you need anything else?". Just before I could speak, my head started aching. "Argh!" No, no, not this time!

My vision started spinning, and I started to feel dizzy. "Sir!" I can feel that she tried lifting me up towards the couch. I am glad that I'm still awake and hope not to pass out. The pain is back again. "Leave me!" I shouted loud, losing my energy, my voice because of shouting. Argh it's coming back...

THIRD POV

Jihyo called help from the maids, and said that they will take care of him. Jihyo didn't want to disturb them and left the living room. She stood outside for minutes and decided to text Nayeon:

I'm home unnie,sleep well. Good night | Sent: 7:28 PM

"Sleep wherever you like, here's your clothes. Have a goodnight" One of the maids informed Jihyo. She has no idea where to sleep, but decided to check on her boss inside the living room. She saw Daniel lying down at the couch with no blankets covered above him. "He must be cold.."Jihyo saw the blanket was on the floor. She picked it up and covered Daniel with the blanket. "Goodnight, I cherish you with sweet dreams"
