Chapter 5: lies

THIRD POV

Today is Friday, the last day of the CF. They wrapped up the schedule with all of their hard work. And today was the day where Jihyo will finally tell the truth. It's their lunch break and Jihyo thought about telling them now. She hopes that Daniel wouldn't add a meeting to shorten her lunch break. Jihyo knew a lot of tears would be lashing out from her eyes again. She saw Nayeon and Tzuyu waiting for her, but fears can be seen in her face. Jihyo is afraid of what will happen. Afraid of everyone knowing her darkest secret, or lie. She knew she would face the consequences. But she will accept it right away because she thinks she deserves it. Now her friends were standing in front of her. Nayeon definitely saw the nervous Jihyo. Can Jihyo tell them the truth? Or will be continuously lying. "Guys I have something to tell you for a long time..." They both waited for her to respond quickly, but Nayeon saw how Jihyo was struggling to tell them. "Say it unnie. Whatever you want to tell us, say it" Tzuyu insisted her unnie was now crying. Jihyo tried to hold and stop her tears from falling, but she couldn't.

Before Jihyo could continue, she remembered all the things that could make her crazy, that could make her pregnant, that can traumatize her anytime. She wants to drink right now to release the stress but she can't do anything as the world stops. Her surroundings started to blur, slowly getting dizzy. But her body didn't give up until she unfolds the truth. "S-so..m-mo..n-e...i-i..s-ss...S-sed-d..uc-c..i..n.g m-me-me.." Her words were stuttering, but Nayeon could fully understand what she told them. The two were both shocked at the moment, Nayeon was worried instead of getting angry.

"Why didn't you tell us? It doesn't matter, we need to report this to the police" Tzuyu agreed. Part of Tzuyu wants to beat up the guy who was harassing Jihyo for the past few days. Mark, the one who is harassing Jihyo, didn't get the chance to see her these two days. Jihyo was happy because she finally lost her contact with Mark and never got to be touched by his fingers. But she was still afraid, especially when they were all exposing their skins. She got used to it by Mark stripping her clothes, and her body was getting wet. She's getting traumatized again...

Jihyo told every single thing he did to her body, where he stays, and when it all started.

"Jihyo you're drunk, let's go home..."Sana warned Jihyo about not to get drunk while boys are staring at her. Jihyo was wearing a blue crop top, and short skirt. Many boys recognized her as the sunshine, because of how bright she is and got attracted by many boys at the bar. She went to the bar often, and the boys there knew her name. Jihyo wasted herself in 10 whole bottles. Sana asked help from Mina and Momo to carry Jihyo outside. Good thing that she is light, they easily carried her out. "Leave me here, I'm going somewhere" Her friends refused at first, but Jihyo kept on insisting and they finally gave up. Her friends didn't forget to mention about texting them when she's home. Now she is standing alone.

"Yo Mark, where are you going?"

"Mind your own business!" A man shouted, heading in Jihyo's direction. Jihyo was drunk and didn't know what had made him do. Then she woke up in an empty cell, her clothes scattered around, realizing she's naked. She screamed in fear then Mark heard it. He allowed Jihyo to leave after he played with her body, but stated conditions.

"I'll allow you to leave, but remember, I will keep an eye on you if you tell the police or anyone if you report this"

Jihyo keeps on asking herself many questions on what happened last night, how did she end up there. She can't control herself and didn't think properly. She acted like she's normal towards her friends, but when she's not with them, Jihyo's life turned into hell. Nayeon was mad at herself for not knowing about this and why Jihyo didn't tell them. But she focused onto reporting the sexual harassment to the police, whilst Tzuyu is in charge of telling...Daniel.

Jihyo realized how hard and difficult it was for Tzuyu to tell her boss everything, including the CEO. "If you're scared to tell, I'll d-do it.." Tzuyu refused, and still continued her way to Daniel's office. Jihyo is scared, scared that Daniel might fire her for lying. But whatever happens, she'll accept her fate.

"Sir Daniel wants to see you," Tzuyu said, coming back for her. Jihyo was shaking in fear, as she didn't know what to say and afraid that her predictions might happen. "Jihyo unnie he just wants a peaceful talk, no need to worry. I promise that once you get out of that office, me and Nayeon unnie will be waiting for you" Tzuyu made sure of that. Nayeon is still at the police station, but no news yet from her. The girls hoped Mark would be in jail.

Jihyo is now entering Daniel's office, calming herself down.

"Sit, don't be afraid, I don't bite" Daniel started. "Jihyo I have one question to ask and answer it honestly" Jihyo nodded. She knew what Daniel's question was and is ready to answer it. "Why did you not inform me when you still had the chance from that day we bumped into each other?" Jihyo didn't expect that question, she was expecting 'why did you lie?' or something. But her boss isn't that common in words.

"Sir y-you-you..-you..you will be disgusted at me.." Jihyo told the truth, she thinks Daniel might disgust a slave like her. "Tsk, I'm your boss and it's my duty to keep my workers safe. And for lying, you have to accept your punishment" Jihyo knew this was going to happen, but that word repeated in her mind, '' What kind of punishment?

"I'm sorry to say but...you're.." No. Jihyo didn't want to hear the next words. "You're not working as a model anymore but an assistant" Jihyo thought she would be fired, but it still breaks her heart when she isn't going to be a model. It's not exactly her dream, but everyone thought she would fit that position. Her looks, beauty, body, suits being a model. Before they went to the audition, she knew she would not pass but her friends. But she passed, and her confidence started to gain again. But now it breaks her heart seeing that she will be no longer a model, but an assistant. What's wrong with being an assistant? She is just glad that her career is still stable, but she was just starting. Jihyo was just starting her dream, nearly achieving it, but not all people can reach their dream. Atleast, she believed.

"If you didn't lie and asked help from others, you would have achieved your dream. But I'm sure more women are still waiting to grab the chance that you gave" But she was happy that she got to help other people that are still waiting for their dream. But she's not one of those people. "At least I'm happy to serve and be with you Daniel" Daniel was shocked that Jihyo used his name for the first time. And not only that, he was happy that he will indeed enjoy his time with just the two of them. Wait, didn't he want to hate Jihyo?
