Choices

It was dark and cold, Alex wandered through Mystic Falls looking for Kai. She clutched her necklace, afraid something was going to happen. Should she even be afraid? She's the one who went after him. Alex could hear footsteps she went to turn around, but no one was there. Kai came up behind her and choked her, "What are you?" He asked applying more force.

"I-Im a very powerful w-witch! So y-you better back off!"

"What are you going to do?" Kai squeezed harder.

Hope came up behind him and hit him in the head. "Ow! That actually hurt a bit," Kai started to run up to Hope.

"Qotores!" Alex shouted, stopping Kai.

"What are you doing here?" Alex asked him regaining her breath.

"More importantly how did you get out?" Hope asked.

"Little Damon, that doesn't matter." He chuckled, "All that matters is that I keep you busy."

Kai smirked at them. "Why?" Hope asked.

"You might want to stop Alyssa first." Hope and Alex nodded at each other and Hope headed back towards the school.

Kai started laughing, "What's so funny?" Alex asked, "Well for one, you! You act all big and bad, when really you're just a scared little girl." Alex raised an eyebrow, "You don't know anything about me."
He started laughing again, "Would you stop!"

"And for two, while Hope is with Alyssa, no one's protecting Landon."

Alex wrapped her hand around his throat and squeezed, then she snapped his neck. Alex broke a branch off of a tree and stabbed Kai with it. Alex knew what she had to do and vamped to find Landon.

Alex was looking for Landon when, he flew over the trees with his large Phoenix wings flapping and glowing. Alex was stunned and had to take a step back, "That's something you don't see everyday."

Landon landed and his wings disappeared, "Dorian!" Alex yelled running up to them.

"He needs help," Landon said. Alex knew that she could heal him so she bit her wrist and held Dorian's head up to it, "Drink." He drank from her wrist, his wound slowly healing.

"Are you okay?" Alex asked helping him up. "I will be." He replied.

Alex helped him walk back to the school. When they got inside, Alaric was standing in the main hall.

Alex smiled and ran up to him, "Uncle Ric!" She said as they hugged,"Alex!" He said in excitement.

"Are you guys visiting?" He asked, "Sadly no, something happened. I'm sure if you call Dad he can explain."

"Well, everything checks out," Alaric said walking out of his office into the lounge where Josie, Lizzie, Hope, Landon, and Alex were sitting.

"So she's going to be staying?" Lizzie asked excited.

"Yes," Alaric said.

Alex was still confused about what she had saw earlier that day, "What happened to you Josie? You......you were different." She put her hand on Josie's knee. Josie started to speak and she put her hand on Alex's, "It doesn't matter I'm fine now."

Josie gave Alex a reassuring smile, a smile that wasn't so reassuring to Alex.
