Alex and Hope were talking in their room when Alaric came over the loud speaker. "Attention, students. Please make your way to the morning assembly."

Alex put her notepad away and pushed her hair back. "Are you going to sit with Landon?"

"No, I don't want to talk to him about what I discovered in the simulation." Hope paused and thought for a second. "You never told me what happened to you in the simulation."

Alex bit her lip, she wanted to lie so bad but she knew she had to tell truth.

"My family might be alive."

"What?"

"My biological family. They might be alive still."

"That's huge, Alex."

"Yeah. Except if their alive, why haven't they reached out to me? Why didn't my parents know?"

"Alex I don't know why but we'll figure it out," Hope said softly. "But we better go if we don't want to be late."

Alex and Hope walked out the door and saw Landon talking to Rafael. When Landon waved at Hope, she turned and walked away while Alex mouthed sorry.

"I know you are all worried. Believe me, no one is more worried than I am. My daughter Josie is still missing. But even as I speak, we're doing everything we can to find her. Kaleb and the vampires have compelled local police for any help that they can provide. We will find her and bring her home. That said, I just want to reiterate, under no circumstance should any of you approach her. While she is our family and friend, she is under the influence of black magic and... not herself. Your safety and Josie's is my top priority. I promise you I will get through to her and bring back the Josie we know and love safely. But first...we just have to find her." A loud thud was heard as the door popped open and Josie walked through.

"I'm right here, Dad." Josie said, everyone looked in disbelief. Josie floated down the steps, "Well, don't look so shocked. Did you really think that I would miss my birthday?" Josie walked over to Lizzie and caressed her chin, "Oh, I'm sorry, our birthday. So...what did I miss?"

Alex was walking around the school with Lizzie.

"Having your sister here is super creepy."

"Yeah, no kidding. She and her minions." Alex sat down at a table in the library, Lizzie had sat across from her resting her head on her hand. "You have a plan. Right?" Alex paused, a plan? She didn't have a plan to trap Josie, let alone a plan of what to eat for lunch. "Why would I have a plan?"

"I know this isn't necessarily your fight, but Josie is my sister and we need all the help we can get. Please Lex."

Alex looked down at the marks scratched into the table and traced them with her finger. JS+LS+AS.

"Remember when I carved these?" Lizzie nodded, "I came here because I was throwing stuff around with my magic. You, Me, and Josie ran around playing pirates while they were talking about me, and we sat down to play a round of Truth Or Dare. Josie dared me to carve our initials in this table, and I cut myself." Lizzie giggled remembering the sound of Alex's scream. "Josie helped wrap me up and told me I was stupid for doing it." They laughed together, remembering the cut she had. "Josie always helped me... and now I'm going to help her."

"Holy Hell," Alex jogged through the door. "You just locked Ric in the thing that Josie tried to kill us with."

"Relax, he's fine. He wanted to put Josie in there anyways... and before you ask, no it wouldn't have worked. Besides why are you here."

"To help Jo. Let me help."
