You raise an eyebrow. "To where?"

Now it's Jimin's turn to smirk. "You'll know when we get there."

Though he doesn't tell you where you're going, the things he had asked you to pack made the location pretty obvious. Sandals, sunscreen, sand mat, honestly, he couldn't have made it more clear.

"Oh!" He exclaims, reaching to grab a sunhat from the counter. "Can't forget this either." Grinning, he single-handedly forces the hat onto your head, messing up the hair you had worked so hard to keep in place.

"Oi! My hair!" You cry, ripping the hat off your head, eyes glinting. You then proceed to use an ungodly amount of power to force it onto his head, covering his eyes entirely. Jimin merely snickers, lifting the hat slightly to look at you in amusement.

"Okay, okay, let's go!" He grabs the packed bags and pushes open the door with his leg, somehow still finding a hand to gesture through the doorway. "Ladies first," He bows. You giggle, rolling your eyes as you purposely sashay out of the house.

You help him squash the bags into an empty space you can find in his flashy Ferrari. Huffing with the effort. "Jeez I know you're rich pretty boy, but can't you get a more practical car?" You complain, finally dropping to your seat once you're done.

"I didn't get this. My dad got it for my 17th birthday," Jimin explains, face going blank as he enters puts the key into the ignition. You widen your eyes in surprise.

"Wow, he must love you a lot."

But you regret your words as you see the hurt flash across his eyes. He quickly composes himself just as the engine lets out a growl.

"Yeah... he must've."

Biting your lip, you look down. Why did you have to make that remark?

"Sorry," You blurt out. "I... never asked about them."

Jimin offers you a reassuring smile and pats your knee. "It's alright. I don't like talking about them much, I prefer leaving them as a part of my past. But hey, having a past with them does have some perks right? I mean we're sitting in one of them," He jokes.

"Mhm," You mumble. "Sure. All I see in this car is that it's loud, overly-expensive and goes way too fast for my preference. Why didn't you get a tesla or something? They're cute, much cheaper and electric-"

"Ugh," Jimin moans. "Don't bring up those cars again. No one ever shuts up about them."

You grin, glad to see that his mood is up again. "What? They truly are great you know! If I ever wanted a car, I'd probably get one of those."

-

The car ride was surprisingly long, though you suspected Jimin had been driving around randomly for a bit just as an excuse to chat longer. The two of you shared your pasts, experiences, jokes, everything. It felt so good to finally just... laugh again, and feel like the world was in your hands.

It was just the two of you at that moment, just two young adults, sitting in a Ferrari, singing along to old songs, cracking up at bad jokes.

You even shared your dream job with him.

"A writer." You stated when he asked. "I've always wanted to be a writer."

"Well, I'm sure you'd make a good writer. But you're missing the brains for one."

You wack his thigh with your hand. "Yah! That's mean! I do have a brain!"

"Huh? Well, I've never seen you use it-"
