(Hazel Faydark)

"Hazel lets get a move on the fields are not going to harvest themselves!" a familiar annoying voice calls out from the opening into my room.
"Zao, don't you see I am sleeping, go by yourself." as i sit on my bed criss cross applesauce on my bed. He had desterebed my trance. Being an elf does have its perks really. Instead of having to sleep for eight hours a night I could just trance for four and get the same amount of rest.
"What time did you get done fooling around with-Farryn?" I open my eyes to see my older brother arms crossed leaning on the stone doorframe.
"She stopped that relationship weeks ago. In fact I might take a break from all that. I mean I am turning ninety three soon." I laugh, shaking my head.
Farryn was one of the many of my conquests who I had been attempting to date for a long time but like most of them decided that fooling around with me was just a faze.
Plus with my birthday coming up in a few days I probably needed to try to think of a way to become more responsible. Basically ninety three was the equivalent to a third nineteenth birthday in human years. For every one year they aged it took me ten. Annoying that i am not really considered an adult till i am one hundred but you know oh well such is the world.
"Well mom and dad will be upset if you do not come and help on the farm to earn money." Zao glares at me as my mind wanders to what I would much rather do than go help farm. It is so boring.
"Shouldn't you stop worrying about the farm Zao and move on. You're already one hundred and twenty! Why are you sticking around?" super touchy topic but it really needed said he had so much more potential than a simple farmer. Skilled in the arcane he could easily go be the best healer in one of the city's adventuring parties. No he sticks around here waiting hand and foot to please our parents.
"I-You know what Hazel if you want to waste your time with dangerous stunts and petty crimes you do that!" he slams the heavy wooden door and causes commotion through the house as he stormed out of the house. I don't commit petty crimes. That would be like pickpocketing people. What I did took way more effort. Breaking and entering took planning and stake outs. It was a waste to not use my stealth and slight of hand in everyday situations. I'm not going to start using them to do party tricks with cards. What did he think I was? A bard? Those people will fuck anything that moves.
No longer able to focus enough to do a full trance reluctantly getting off the bed I throw on my leather armor and place my whip on my hip. If all my family thinks I am trouble then I am going to prove them right. I had the perfect target in mind.

Hiding in the darkness of the ally by the tavern where a very intoxicated Imra Ajor was dancing like a fool hitting on anything that moved. Typical bard. She was the perfect target. I was planning on stealing the necklace right off that pretty little neck of hers. I had followed her throughout the day waiting for her to slip up so I would have the opportunity to get closer. Not that it was very easy when she was escorted by guards almost everywhere! When you are the daughter of the most powerful person in Amenabella it makes sense to have such protection. That wasn't going to stop me though because i had been following her for over a week Zao calling me out on being a thief only brought my plan to a tighter schedule because if my parents found out i was stealing again they would lock me in my room once again.
I walk into the tavern walking up to the bar where the barkeep gives me little notice thankfully didn't need the distraction.
"Oh your hair is so pretty!" i feel a hand almost petting my hair. From the voice it was a noble who was used to talking to royalty but the words don't match the elegant voice. This had to be Imra. biting my tongue I prevent myself from lashing out and swatting her hand away. Turning around she was much prettier in person no wonder Zao had a huge crush on her. Her short white hair framed her hair perfectly and the light cloth she wore clung to the thin frame so gracefully. That is elf beauty at its best though. I offer a friendly smile.
"Oh thank you. But you are much more beautiful than I am." Bards tend to be so egotistical. I needed to distract her with compliments. Imra's smile grows widely as she grabs onto my hand making my heart start beating rapidly. Come on Hazel snap out of it that necklace is why you are here. Just because a pretty girl flirts with you doesn't mean abandoning the mission!
"Lets go dance!" pulling me towards a larger empty part of the room the music was a slow melody. Wrapping my arms around my neck she blocks my attempt to get my hands towards her neck, nothing was going to plan. But i forgot one thing when it comes to stealing from performers.
"You have been following me for a week. What are you trying to do?"
Never underestimate the acting capabilities of a damn bard.

This is based off my a dnd character so I hope you like it. I love my little bean and thought she needed an in depth story about her life before hunting monsters. And of course it includes falling in love!
