The night before the proposal-[Shawn Carter]

I had this wonderful idea as Beyoncé and I were both tipsy I wanted to marry her last night I pushed it off when I went to sleep. I thought it wouldn't be on my mind in the morning, but I was wrong it's the middle of the day.

 Here is the situation we have been dating for about 6 months at this point and we have know each other for about nine months. We could just ignore marriage no one sees it as important but my mom taught me when I was younger differently and I see it differently. My momma wanted me to be married and to be happy with someone who treated me right and was willing to work with me. 

Beyoncé has never once used me for the fame although I helped her land a record deal, instead she didn't want to accept it. She didn't flaunt the fact we hung out together or that we were friends. She is always checking up on me when we're not together and she listens to what I have to say all the time. Beyoncé is also one of the most hard working people I know she was going from café to studio for a few months she might of been tired but she was dedicated. When she would sing she'd also be using the proper techniques to her extent of knowledge. I can't think of many who watch for their voice like she does it.

 We balance each other out truly instead of one being higher we are equal, we split bills at times. It is hard to find people like her who can being in the industry yet not have it her main focus all the time. We are both artists producing our crafts whether it is through music, videos or photos and I love that. I know marriage is a big deal it isn't just a paper or being together it is getting along  as much as possible we both will have to compromise at times and decide were is the middle ground. It means we can't let our work consume us and we ignore our relationship even when her career truly takes off.

Now the question is will she say yes being that we have dated for such a short time. At this moment she is out with the girls in the beach swimming. Her dad wasn't swimming in fact we were both inside just watching TV.

"Hey Carlos I got a question", I said nervously.

"What's up Shawn?"

"I have been thinking for quite a while of getting married with your Beyoncé, I know it is very soon we have only been dating for about six months. The thing is I love your daughter she is my ride or die who I know has my back and I got hers. I promise to always take care of her treat her like the queen she is no matter what. Are you okay with that or should we wait? If you're okay with  that may I have the honor of marrying your daughter?", I asked.

"You can marry my daughter it's her choice to decide whether she'd like to be with you forever. I'm not a fancy Mexican who still does that but I appreciated the fact you asked me. Thank you", he said.

"I'm going to ask her tomorrow but I kind of need your help I want it to be just her and I."

"How can I help?"

"Can you go out with the rest of the girls tomorrow when we leave so Beyoncé doesn't get suspicious I got tickets to this really cool water park and if you want to stay the night over there I can get you that too", I said. 

"Alright I'll tell my sister and we'll make sure your proposal can go smooth"

"And don't worry I'll record her reaction for sure so you guys can see it later."

"Cool but if she says no you're not gonna leave us stranded here in Jamaica from anger right?", he asked.

"Nah I will act like nothing happened and I'll wait to ask her for when we got a year dating", I said.

"Smart do you have the ring?"
