Chapter 6

Gabriella's POV

I was giddy with excitement as I got into my car to drove to Annie's house, I'd chosen my light pink sweater, light-wash skinny jeans, and my brown combat-boots.  As for my hair, I'd thrown it up in a messy bun, and pinned a blush colored hair bow in the back.

I couldn't wait to see Isabelle.

It'd been almost 7 months since is had a proper conversation with her, let alone a day out.  Annie had said that we would go to a mall outside of town, so no one would see us there together.  It seemed insane to me, that we had all the way from where we lived, Wellington, to Wadestown, where we were almost certain we wouldn't be found.

It was only about a 10 minute drive to Annie's house, so I left around 10:45, giving myself some time to be stopped by traffic, as I was supposed meet them both at An's house at 11:00.

When I got there, Isabelle had already arrived, as I could see from her car on the driveway, I got out of my car, walked up to the door and rang the doorbell.  Isabelle answered the door, wearing dark brown combat-boots, black leggings, a grey t-shirt, and her trademark pink Aeropostale jacket. Her hair had been pulled back in a french braid.  As for Annie, who was standing behind her, she had on black leggings, brown uggs, and a cream colored sweater, she'd worn her hair down with waves in it.

Isabelle instantly engulfed me in a hug, which I was not expecting, but I quickly hugged her back.  When I pulled away, I had a giant smile on my face.  We walk inside and close the door, not wanting to freeze outside.

"So, how are you?"  I asked, not really sure of what to say, I mean, what do you say to someone you haven't seen in 7 months?

"Good. You?"  She smiled.

"Great!  Especially since I get to see you!" I laughed.

"Okay guys," Annie interrupted "we should probably get going if we want to get to the mall by 11:30."  She says as she checked her phone for the time.

"Alright, whose car should we take?"

"Let's take mine, just in case anyone we know is there, they won't even recognize you're car and go looking for you." Bel suggested.

"What if they recognize your car though?"

"They won't, no one pays attention to me, and even if they did, they would avoid me instead of coming to look for me."  She said matter-of-factly.

"Okay then, let's go!"  Annie clapped her hands together.  We walk out and go to Isabelle's car, her and Annie in the front, me in the back.

"So," Bel said as she started up the car "what's the latest gossip at school?"

"Nothing that interesting, Shawn and Alice broke up, she'd been sleeping with his best friend." Annie informed.

"Ouch, hadn't they been dating for a while?"

"3 years."

"Damn."

"Yeah."

"It's too bad, he's a nice guy." She said sadly.

"Someone's got a crush doesn't she?" An teases.

"No!! I'm not crushing on Shawn!  Oh God no.  We just did a chem project, and he was nice, despite all of the shit I went through." 

A silence fell over the car, we were all still a little touchy about 'the incident' as we now called it.

"Oh, well, on a brighter note, the Brits are in town." I called from the back.

"Cool, who all came?" Isabelle asked.

"Zoe, Alfie, Phil, Dan, and Joe.  We hung out with them and some others last night at Beth's."

"I've always wanted to meet them, I love watching Dan and Phil especially, they're so funny."

"Well, I might be able to pull some strings, they don't know about the events that've taken place at school, and wouldn't care anyway." I smirked.

"Really?!  I mean, if you could that'd be great!  Thanks so much Gabs!"

"Wow, wow, don't thank me yet, I still have to ask them, I'll text them now."

GABS: Hey Dan, I have a friend who'd like to meet you and Phil, do you think we could meet up some time while you guys are here?

DAN: Yeah totally, just so long as she isn't an insane fangirl. Will tomorrow at 2 work?

GABI: Definitely! How about we go meet at my place (and don't worry about her, she's perfectly sane).

DAN: Okay, Phil and I would love to!

GABS: Thanks so much! There is just one catch: you can't tell anyone about this.  I'll explain later.  See you tomorrow!

DAN: Okay... well TTFN

GABS: Thanks again, bye!

"Okay, NOW you can thank me. We're meeting at two tomorrow at my place." I said.

"Oh my God thanks so much Gabs! You're the best! I'll try my best not to fangirl, but I make no promises."

"Hey what about me?!?!" Annie pretended to be offended.

I laughed. "Don't worry, I'm sure they won't mind a little fangirling Bel, they're probably used to it by now. Just don't go insane."

"Okay, and Annie, you know what I meant, I love you both equally."

For the rest of the drive, we just caught up, a lot has happened in Annie's and my lives in these past months.  Our YouTube channels had taken off and we were gaining subscribers all the time.  We also were meeting a bunch of amazing people and getting a bunch of amazing opportunities.  As for Isabelle, things had been pretty much the same, bleak, the way they'd been since 'the incident'.  But we had a good time talking, it felt like we'd never been apart.
