These images we hold
Are like stories never told.
There's a universe inside,
It's just hard to come by.Close your eyes
and dive right in,
Let the current pull you
Like a whirlwind. There is more to see,
And more to know.
Just learn to listen,
And soon you'll grow. But keep your pace,
Don't get misguided,
One wrong turn
And you'll be faded.#138
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
The words echoed back from the stone walls of the holy temple. The students were crouched together on the floor and compelled themselves to this one and single question. With almost a hundred voices combined, they built up to a collective stream of consciousness. Chris felt the trance slowly setting in. His awareness began to shift from the frostiness of the ground beneath him into a comprehensive presence far above.
What was the purpose of his being? What was the essence of his life? Chris was told that the answer would arrive whenever he was ready, but he couldn't shake the subliminal feeling of missing out. He opened his eyes in an attempt to take a look at his fellow students. Even though, he gave his eyesight more than enough time to adjust to the darkness, it was impossible for him to see anything. He held up his hand in front of his nose. Nothing. He took a look to his left. A look to his right. Still, there was nothing, but pure and utter blackness. Chris closed his eyes again and continued to follow the mantra.
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
"What is the purpose of my being?"
"To live up to my full potential!"
After a while, a warm, tickling sensation slowly rose up in his spine and a small, flickering light slowly lid up in front of his inner eye. The light glowed and swirled around, as if it was prompting him to follow. But Chris didn't know how. He put his sole focus on the light. His torso swung forward and backward, while his vocal chords continued on autopilot. The light glowed bigger and bigger and suddenly Chris' mind got sucked into a whole different dimension. A mighty force pulled his soul away from his body and propelled him far out into the sky. Streaks of light were passing by his sides, as his particles made their way through space and time. A thousand seemingly random images were rattling through his mind, separated by heavy flashes of both light and force, pushing and pulling him into multiple directions at once. Another flash lid up and when it vanished, he saw his brother laying on the floor of a wracked up hotel room. Mike was curling on the carpet and grasped for air. Chris was shocked. Adrenaline rushed through his veins and the present fear and helplessness were slowly overwhelming him. He tried to scream and shout.
