Jungeun found herself texting Jinsol more often than she initially thought she would. They only mentioned the interview once or twice, with Jungeun assuring Jinsol that she was making great progress with the article, and spoke about lots of other things otherwise. It was nice having another person to talk to, even though she became flustered whenever confronted about who she was texting. But she'll endure the little bit of teasing as long as she could continue talking to Jinsol.
The two haven't met up at all after the interview, which was okay with Jungeun. The two had other things to do, although she did wish they could meet up for coffee again. Or maybe do something else like see a movie. In a completely platonic way, of course.
"COUSINNN!"
Jungeun jumped, causing her fingers to commit keyboard smash. She sighed and ran a hand down her face as she backspaced along the document she was previously working on. "Yaebin, you've got to stop doing that."
Yaebin was posed against the frame of the door, her leg lifted up at the knee as she gripped onto the frame. Once Jungeun actually looked at her, she flashed a big smile before getting off the frame and actually walking into the room.
"Cuzzo, I need you to do me a favor," Yaebin stated as she plopped down on Jungeun's bed.
"What now?" Jungeun whined, throwing her head back.
"Calm your tits, it's not bad. I just need you to go get me some more shampoo because I'm running out."
"And you can't do that because...?"
"Because I'm busy."
Jungeun gestured down to her laptop, clearly indicating that she herself was also busy. "So am I!"
"Yes, but you can afford to not be so busy! I'll give you money, please? I have an audition to be a band's new drummer."
Yaebin gave a proud grin to her cousin, who gave her a dumbfounded expression instead.
"You can't play the drums."
"That is correct. But the pretty leader doesn't have to know that."
Yaebin waggled her eyebrows and Jungeun rolled her eyes. Only Yaebin would do something completely dumb for a pretty girl. (Then again, Jungeun wasn't too far behind, considering she went to a boxing match of a pretty boxer. But Jungeun didn't know she was pretty, so.)
"So, can you?"
It was just a little run to get shampoo. And then Jungeun could maybe pick up some other things too.
"Fine."
Yaebin squealed then yanked Jungeun close by her neck and planted a big kiss on her cheek.
"Ew, gross!" Jungeun pushed her cousin away.
"Here's the money! I even gave extra so you could buy a little something for yourself." Yaebin winked before jumping off the bed. "You know the kind I like, just drop it off at my dorm. Goodbye, love ya!"
With that, Yaebin was out the door and the room was silent, as Jiwoo had left with friends a while earlier. Jungeun shook her head before counting the wad of won that had been shoved into her hands, and scoffing when the amount wasn't even enough to buy the shampoo Yaebin normally got. What else did she expect from Kang Yaebin, though?
Jungeun finished the article and submitted it to the club's president before putting on presentable clothes.
Jungeun walked around the entire store for the fifth time before she was on the cusp of giving up and buying another brand of shampoo. She had went up and down the aisles of hygiene products and just could not find the stupid strawberry-scented shampoo. Why did Yaebin have to like one of the most basic scents known to mankind, Jungeun doesn't know. Or maybe it was the store's fault. There were bottles of Japanese cherry blossom shampoo left, but not strawberry. But not strawberry.
