~Two days later~

Virgil wheeled Deirdre inside the coffee shop, Roman holding the door open. Virgil put Deirdre next to a table.

"I'll order. Roman, look after her." Virgil said.

"Alright, mi amore," Roman said. Virgil walked up to the counter and ordered the coffees.

Deirdre looked around. She smiled a bit.

"Deirdre? Do you have any idea when your birthday is?" Roman asked, pulling out his phone.

"October twelfth," Deirdre said. Roman nodded and typed something on his phone. "What are you doing?"

"Making a reminder on my calendar about your birthday. I have Virgil's birthday here as well." Roman said. Deirdre nodded. Virgil walked back over to the table and sat across from Roman. "Her birthday is on October twelfth."

"I know. She told me before." Virgil looked around the cafe.

Deirdre heard the doorbell to the cafe ring. She looked over and felt her heart beat faster.

Virgil noticed Deirdre's gaze fixated on something. "Deirdre? You okay?"

Deirdre didn't move. Her gaze was just stuck to something. Virgil followed her gaze and his eyes widened.

He saw a girl with long brown hair, green eyes, and light tan skin. She wore a red flowery dress with a white bow and red shoes.

Virgil wondered for a moment before realizing something.

"Deirdre?" Virgil spoke up. Deirdre snapped out of her gaze and looked up at Virgil.

"Yes?" Deirdre asked.

Virgil was silent for a second. "Be careful with who you talk to."

Deirdre nodded while Roman looked confused. Virgil tilted his head to the left. Roman looked to the left and saw the girl. He made an 'o' shape with his mouth. Virgil nodded.

Virgil thought for a moment. "Deirdre, how about instead of looking at her, you talk to her?"

"Wh-What!? No, I can't do that..." Deirdre muttered.

"Come on. You clearly think she's pretty, you should talk to her." Roman said.

Then Virgil's name was called. Virgil got up and walked to the counter to get the coffees. He walked back over, sat down, and placed the coffees on the table.

Virgil looked at Deirdre, then at the girl. He realized she was with someone who looked to be her twin except she had dark brown long hair and was wearing a green dress with a black bow and green shoes.

"Twins, it seems," Virgil said. Roman nodded. "But what are two eight-year-olds doing here?"

"Who knows?" Roman muttered and sipped his coffee.

After they finished their coffees, they decided to leave.

"Hey, Deirdre. If they are here next time we come, you talk to that girl." Virgil said.

"Okay," Deirdre said. "I bet they won't."

"I bet they will," Virgil smirked.

"Let's just go, my mom is baking cookies," Roman said.

"Why didn't you say so? Let's go." Virgil wheeled Deirdre out of the cafe, Roman holding the door again.
