I turn to Ace, his right eye now beginning to slightly swell with a purple/black bruise, his eyes brimming with tears as he sighs sitting back at the foot of the bed. His elbows hit is knees as he runs his hands over his face, his nose still bleeding but not much.

I sit down beside him and rub his back leaning against his shoulder, "He'll come around" I quietly say.

Will he?

"I don't think so" he says, pained.

"Lets clean you up" I stand pulling at his hand, he stands up allowing me to drag him to the bathroom, the hall a mess from Asher's rage.

I sit him on the toilet seat and I pick the cloth up from the side of the bathtub and damp in with warm water from the sink, I dab underneath his nose and wipe up the rest of the blood.

When I dip the bloody cloth into the warm water he speaks, "We should've just told him"

"Yeah" I nod, I think he still would've acted the same which is unfair for us.

"I best get packing" he laughs but no hint of humour behind it.

I sit on his lap touching the side of his face gently, "You're not going anywhere" I whisper.

"If I don't, it's pushing him further over the edge"

"You're not going anywhere" I repeat.

He looks down, "I've lost him haven't I?"

"No" I lie, I'm not sure if he has or if he hasn't but I know he hasn't lost me.

His arms wrap around my waist and he lays his head on my chest, I don't know how long we stay like this. In each others company, comforting each other by just sitting her with our arms wrapped around one and other.

I open my eyes and sigh, "I'll get you some water" I say unclipping myself from his hold, his eyes now sleepy.

He nods slowly watching me walk out, when heading to the kitchen I glance into the living room seeing Ash sitting on his chair just staring in front of him deep in thought.

"Asher" I walk in.

His head slowly moves to look at me, "I thought you left?"

"I did"

I stare at him as he stares at me, "Is he gone yet?" He sternly says.
