"How can I trust you?" Jessie still looked hesitant.
"Who do you trust more? Me or Aiden?" Lukas asked her. Jessie bit her lip before looking around.
"Just," Jessie flicked the lever. "Don't fail my city. It's all I have." Lukas nodded before watching Jessie leave the dungeons.
Jessie wasn't sure why she let them go. Her mother was beginning to trust her and here she was releasing the prisoners she helped get a lighter sentence. What was wrong with her?
"Wait so the Princess helped you escape?" Milo asked Lukas. Milo, Jesse and Petra had found them.
"That's a bit odd." Petra raised a brow.
"I know right? I thought so too but it seems she has a lot of secrets she won't share. Perhaps she has something against her mother?" Lukas shrugged.
"No no I very highly doubt that." Milo shook his head.
"Well let's hope that this princess isn't untrustworthy." Jesse spoke up. "We should try to find the eversource."
"According to my sources there is a hidden room around here." Milo mentioned.
"Let's take a look around then." Jesse began to walk around. Petra stood by the doors to keep watch while everyone else looked around the throne room. Jessica was walking around the palace trying to make sure to keep the guards away from the throne room, she just hoped those guys kept their word.
"Anything?" Jesse asked Petra.
"Shhh.." Petra warned him as she took out her sword, Jesse did the same.
"Gah!" Jessica nearly screamed when she opened the door. Petra and Jessie held their swords in a defensive stance.
"Jessica." Milo looked over and was surprised to see her.
"What are you doing here? And more importantly why are these freaks trying to kill me." Jessica glared at Jesse and Petra.
"Jesse. Petra. This is Princess Jessica. She's no threat."
"You're going to eat your own words Milo." Jessie glared at him.
"I swear she's on our side." Milo ignored her. Jesse and Petra lowered their swords.
"Just don't get in the way." Jesse put his sword away.
"I'll have you know, I know this place better than you ever will." Jessie glared at him.
"Be nice Jessica." Milo looked at her.
"You have guts huh?" Jesse place his hands on his waist.
"More than you." Jessie walked past him. Lukas's eyes widened seeing her. "Ugh you again? Weren't you suppose to have stopped Aiden by now?"
"We're kind of stuck." Lukas shrugged.
"Jessica is a nice girl. Trust me." Milo told Petra and Jesse. "She's just....having a hard time lately."
"That's no excuse to speak that way though." Petra looked angry.
"She uh...doesn't trust easily. Like her mother, Jessica cares about her city. But she doesn't agree with her mother's laws." Jesse looked over at Jessica. She was showing something to Lukas.
"You just need a lever." Jessie told him as Jesse came over. "You won't get anywhere without it."
"Why don't we just make one?" Jesse asks.
"Well..there is a cobble generator just outside." Jessie points towards the back of the room. "I just don't there's anything to make sticks though."
"I'm sure there's something around here." Jesse began looking around again. Jessie raised a brow seeing him walk around.
"Is he like...your boss?" Jessie asked Lukas.
"Uh...no. We're a team." Lukas shook his head. Jessie looked over at Jesse again. She seemed to ponder a bit before walking away from Lukas and towards Milo.
"You trust them, Milo?"
"Relax Jessica," Milo smiled suspiciously. "Everything will be fine." Jessie raised a brow. Jessie kept a close eye on this Jesse guy. These people were strange but they seemed more trustworthy than that Aiden guy anyway.
