"Ready for school, Becca?" Ob asked me as she brought herself out of my body. She pulled her arms and head out, then her torso, and, finally, her legs. She was attending the same school as me, same classes and everything, and was hiding her true nature by making her eyes look like mine.
"Yeah, I'm ready," I replied. On our way to school, we picked up Lily, who was more than glad to walk with us.
"I take it that's a new thing you can do with yer eyes?" she asked Ob. She must've forgotten that Ob can do that.
"All demons who have been separated from their hosts have the ability to make their eyes look like their host's eyes," she replied.
"Trouble, dead ahead!" I shouted quietly, pointing to Adam and his group of friends. We tried to get past them as quietly as possible, but Adam noticed us. He had a smirk on his face.
Ob's POV
"Well, look who it is," he said, sauntering towards us. "Babe, I'm so sorry.""Sorry for what, Adam?" she fired at him. "And don't call me babe! I already told you that we're done!"
"But I can give you so much more than her," he said, gesturing to Becca.
"Well, Becca is more loyal, unlike you," she fired back, wiping the smirk from Adam's face.
"But..." he began.
"Drop it, dude," one of his friends said. I realized that I needed to take this matter into my own hands, and moved to stand in front of him.
"Adam, is it?" I said. "I'm going to give you a suggestion."
"I'm listening," he told me.
"Well, I assume the reason she dumped you is because of something you did to emotionally hurt her. Is this true?" I asked him.
"Yes..." he admitted.
"Well, I'm glad you finally decided to be honest with her and with yourself. Now, do you still want to be Lily's friend, even though she's dating Becca?" I asked.
"Yes," he said. I wasn't buying it, but I refused to do anything about it because I was at school.
"Well, then, until Lily feels comfortable with hanging out with you again, you will RESPECT her wishes and LEAVE HER THE F**K ALONE!" I exploded, causing him to tremble with fear. I decided to play along. "Oh no! I'm so sorry, Adam. I honestly didn't mean for that outburst to happen. I just hate to see my friend's emotions get messed with. And I have an even closer bond with Becca," I reassured him.
"It's no big deal," he said. "Besides, you're right. About everything."
"Well, you're welcome to our table during lunch," Lily said.
"Thank you, Lily," Adam replied.
*time skip to lunch*
I decided to briefly show Adam my true eyes, and he didn't even flinch.
"You're not afraid of me?" I asked him.
"Not at all," he replied. "I've known what you are ever since I met Becca back in October of last year. I even know about Antisepticeye, but I promise to keep that information between the four of us."
"Care to elaborate?"
"Of course. The day before you and Becca moved here was the day that Lily broke up with me. I was heartbroken. I didn't know that what I had done had caused that much damage. That night, as I was getting ready for bed, I felt a demon enter my head. He said his name was Bill, and that he could help me get Lily back. I tried to counter by saying that if Lily had moved on from me, then I needed to move on from her. However, Bill threatened to kill me if I didn't do what he said."
I decided to use my powers to search for traces of a demon's presence in Adam's head. My eyes widened in horror as I realized exactly who had been in Adam's head, and I pulled back, trembling in my seat.
"What's wrong, Ob?" Becca asked me through our mind link, wrapping her arm around me and putting it on my shoulder.
"The demon... who... was... in... Adam's head... was... Bill... Cipher," I managed to get out. Becca slammed her fist on the table in anger before telling Adam what I had told her. I managed to keep my wings, claws and fangs from springing out.
"The one who got Becca's ex-boyfriend Will killed?" Adam asked. I hadn't realized I had spoken out loud.
"Not to mention he was also responsible for Weirdmageddon," Lily added.
"That's the one," I said. "When he took Will's life, Becca and I were absolutely furious. Unfortunately, he had started jumping from host to host, killing each and every one of his victims. This made it difficult to find him. Of course, one major giveaway was his ego. Two months ago, he unexpectedly showed up at our house, but this time, he didn't have a host and was taking on your appearance, Adam, for some strange reason, albeit with a yellow tuxedo and yellow hair. In a fit of rage, I avenged Will and the rest of Bill Cipher's victims who had suffered the same fate by obliterating that demonic Dorito, ending not only his reign of terror, but also his plans to globalize Weirdmageddon. Unfortunately, I've been having severe nightmares about that day."
"PTSD," Adam pointed out.
Becca: P... T... what now?
Ob: It's Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Becca.
Becca: Well, at least you're not struggling with it now as much as you were then.
"You should go to a therapist."
"No need for that," I said. "Anti's been helping me get through it."
"Oh my gosh, look at the time!" Lily exclaimed. I looked up and, sure enough, it was time for us to get to our next class, so that's what we did. I spent the rest of the day debating whether or not Adam was telling the truth. Spoiler alert: his story of when he met Bill was accurate, but his actions at lunch were just for show. Why did I not see through his façade? I should've known he was secretly working with Antimatter.
Author: Turns out Adam isn't as much of a jerk as he seems to be. Or is he?
Becca: Will we ever know?
Ob: So many mysteries.

Lyrics:
Let this be another night
To tire out my battered night
I know I've lost the fight
To erase your face, my mind
Awake, alive you're staring, I'll be on the skyOhhh
Ohhh
Ohhh
OhhhIt took a whole lot of energy
To get back on my feet
Its being too long on the ground, The world will pull me down
I just want to shout one
What were you thinking of today?
Is this my saviour love again?
No one can blame yaOhhh
Ohhh
Ohhh
OhhhNo one can blame ya
(No one, no one can blame ya)
No one can blame ya
You're my saviour
(No one can blame ya)
You're my saviour
(Saviour)Ohhh
