We arrived at the airport at around four.  Kayden and I unloaded the luggage at the entrance leaving Momo impatiently standing and watching, like usual.

"Okay. That's all of them." I said, slipping my carry on backpack over my shoulder. It was way too early and I was running on adrenaline alone. Traveling was stressful in itself, but international travel was even worse. I closed the trunk of Kayden's car and walked over towards my sister, rolling her luggage as well as my own over to the sidewalk where she was standing.

"Have a safe trip you two. Kian, I love you, make sure you call and text me any chance you get, and you too Mo!" Kayden stated before giving us both a quick hug and me a kiss.

"Love you too. Hey, Mo, we gotta go."

"Okay. See you in two weeks Kayden!" Momo waved, grabbing her luggage and walking off. I followed.

I couldn't help but glance back at him as we walked through the doors. He just stood there helpless for a moment before getting back into the car. I looked forward again; just in front of us was a maze of people and lines. I really did not like airports. They were just too intimidating and confusing. Just being in the building gave me anxiety.

"I hope you know where the heck we're going because I don't." Momo said, glaring at me as we walked. She was looking all around, studying the surroundings.

"Uh, I have a pretty good idea, first off we have to check our bags then we go through security." I explained, quickly searching 'how to board a plane' on my cellphone to be sure I was right, as we walked towards the counter. Once the bags were checked we went through security where I got randomly selected for a metal detector test. I stepped aside and the security officer instructed me to spread eagle while he waved a flat beeping device over my body, thoroughly making sure I wasn't a bomb. Momo was laughing at my humiliation the entire time. He waved us through and we found a place to sit at the gate.

"I'm low key having an anxiety attack." Momo murmured as she leaded back in her seat, looking upside-down and backwards at the other side of the room.

"We'll be fine." I reassured her, "I'm getting up to go to the bathroom and get some food. Do you want me to get you a coffee or something?"

"Yeah. Go for it."

"What do you want?"

"A doughnut. Coffee. That's it." She said, reaching into her carry on and pulling out her phone charger and headphones.

"Typical you." I pointed out, standing up and setting my backpack beside her.

"Lemme guess, you're going to get an iced coffee and a sandwich."

"Nope. No sandwich. I'm also getting a doughnut."

"Crap! I thought I had it!" She laughed.

When I got back, we both ate our food and sat in silence until the boarding began. She really did seem nervous, bouncing her leg as she sipped at her latte.

A woman's voice came over the loudspeaker "Flight 253 to Narita International is now boarding. All first class passengers proceed to gate 4A." I looked up from my phone. Momo popped out of her seat, letting out a small screech as she did.

"That's us!"

"I know. Calm down. Grab your bags and have your ticket and passport ready." I said as I stood up and picked up my bag, throwing my cup and napkin in the trash. Together, like we had done years earlier, we stepped through the gate and onto the jet way. We found our seats and sat down, preparing for the fifteen-hour flight ahead. Momo demanded the window seat, but, according to the ticket, it was my seat.
