Carlos POV
"So let me get this straight, you're baking these things, then selling them, but you don't get to keep any of the money?" I ask, as Smiley takes out some things from the fridge.
Me and Dude were now in the student kitchen with Smiley and Dexter. Me and Dex were on the subject of a new printer prototype his Dad was making when Smiley changed the subject to that of the bake sale next weekend.
"That's right. All proceeds will go to the party planning committee, and then we'll be able to buy decorations for the next dance." She explains, bouncing on her toes.
"She's just excited to make her favorite dessert," Dexter pauses, "but I still think you should lay off the nutella."
"Are you kidding!?" Smiley gasps, "That's the best part of it!"
"What's Nutella?" I ask, shifting Dude to my left arm.
"WHAAH?! You've never heard of Nutella!? It's only the best type of chocolate spread in the history of forever!" Smiley explains for Dexter to shake his head.
"It's not as great as everyone makes it out to be." He shrugs.
"Liar!" Smiley growls, playfully, "It's the best thing ever! You're just mad that you're allergic to hazelnuts."
"No, I'm not. It's not as great as everyone says. I didn't have to have an allergic reaction to know that." Dex huffs for Smiley to roll her eyes.
"Anyway, to actually answer your question. It's a sweet hazelnut cocoa spread that can be used for all kinds of things. I like using it for my croissants but a lot of kids eat it with their toast, waffles, pancakes, you name it." She explains before taking a plastic spoon and dipping it in the jar.
"Well, can't you go easy with it on like half of the desserts? Or at least on the practice one?" Dex asks for Smiley to think.
"I guess I can, but this jar is basically empty." She says before taking the spoon out and offering it to me. I take it for Dude to try and get it.
"Ah ah ah, no Dude." I hold it away from him, "This not good for dogs."
"How'd you know that? You just started learning about dogs last week." Dexter asks taking my best pup pal.
"I really just assumed. Cass isn't allowed to have any kind of candy. Especially not chocolate. I figured that's how it was for dogs too."
"Well, you were spot on right," Smiley grins, "but it does surprise me that Cass can't have candy, would it really affect her?" I shrug.
"We can't say for sure, but it's better to be safe than sorry." I look at the spoon I have, "Okay, so this stuff tastes like what exactly?"
"Like your tastebuds are on a trip to a chocolatey nutty island vacation." Smiley smiles for Dex to shake his head.
"Just eat it and find out for yourself." He says for me to look at the substance on the spoon. Here goes nothing. . .
Evie's POV
"C'mon Kitty, I thought you were stronger that this." Jay smirks as Cass squirms in his arms. He had wound up catching her when she walked in. The two wrestled in the floor for a while and now Jay has her in a bear hug.
"I never said I was stronger. Just smarter." Cass corrects for Jay to look at her confused.
"What do you mean smart– He-e-ey!" He releases C. She turns to cat form and climbs up to my canopy. Jay glares up at her.
