Two weeks go by, with Lily continuing to be by my side. I really needed her. She's been a great friend to me. Because of her support, I've been doing a lot better. I've been crying less and less, and I've been feeling a little happier each day.

Lily's been more than a great friend to me. She's like a big sister! We do almost everything together, and we've really gotten to know each other more. I'm glad I met her!

_____

I wake up, turning over to my side to look at the clock. 9:00am.

Today's the day. Today's the day I'm finally aloud to go out. After being held captive here for two weeks, I feel like running out right now! Of course I have to change first though.

A few minutes later, I here a knock on my door. I open the door, finding Lily with my breakfast as always. Today she brought me a bowl of cereal.

"Hey!" I say taking the bowl and putting it on a table.

"Hey!" Lily says back. "I bet you're excited to finally go out today, huh?"

 "More like DYING TO!"

"Well I was thinking maybe we can go shopping today so that you can pick some outfits on your own, and then grab something to eat. Does that sound okay?"

 "That sounds perfect!" I smile.

"Oh and by the way, before you're aloud to leave, Nick told me he wants to meet with you," she tells me.

"Great! Really Looking forward to that."

"Hey, it shouldn't be long. Before you know it, we'll be out and about having fun, okay?"

 "Okay."

After Lily leaves, I eat my breakfast and get ready. By the time I'm finished, Lily returns, and we're on our way to Nick's office.

When we enter the room, we find Nick sitting behind his desk, waiting for us; me in particular. He beckons for Lily to leave, so it's just the two of us. This is going to great!

At first he's just focused on his computer, typing something. After about five minutes I'd say, he finally speaks up. "Well good morning, Miss Stacy!"

 "Good morning, sir."

"So have you learned your lesson?"

As much as I want to say no and give a little back talk, I don't feel like staying here long. I certainly don't want to get punished again either! Instead, I respond saying, "Yes, I have, sir. I was wrong for trying to run away and for not talking to you with respect. For that, I'm really sorry."

"Apology accepted. Anyways, you're now free to leave the building whenever you want, but, there's some conditions we have to discuss."

 "And they are?"

"First is curfew. Your curfew is midnight. Everyday. Understood?"

 "Yes, sir."

"Next, we are giving you a new identity. We can't afford you going out in public as Gwen and having someone catch on. Because of that, we're giving you a new name, new ID, and a new hair color. You are to agree to this or you will be stuck inside the compound for a very long time."

Whoa, whoa, whoa! New identity? No I don't accept this!

"Nick, don't you think this is getting a little too far?"

"Nope I don't. You are to agree with me, or we are going to have problems."

 I sigh. "Whatever!"

"You're hairstylist will be here shortly," he tells me and with that, the hairstylist comes.

She takes me to the mini salon and sits me down on a chair. I take a glance at the mirror, saying goodbye to my blond hair. Probably the last time I'll ever be blond!

______

An hour later, I look at my new red hair that was assigned to me. Looking in the mirror now is like looking at someone else besides your reflection, even though I still have the same face and clothes.

Nick walks up to me with a phone, a wallet, and a bracelet. First he hands me the phone. "Here's your new phone with a new number. Memorize it. Of course you can use it as a normal smart phone, but you must contact us whenever you're in danger. We programmed the S.H.I.E.L.D phone number in your contacts so that you'll know what to dial. Now this wallet contains your weekly allowance. Spend it wisely. Last but not least, here's your bracelet. It helps us keep track of where you are. You must where it at all times whenever you're not at the headquarters. Understood?"

 "Yes, sir."

"Oh and we need to take a quick picture for your ID."

I let him take it, forcing myself a smile. He shortly returns with my ID that reads, Mary Jane Watson.

"Mary Jane Watson will be your new name. MJ will be your nickname. Everyone has a nickname! Anyways, whenever you're out, you must be referred to know one else, but Mary Jane. Are we clear?"

 "Yes, sir!"

"Good, I'll see you soon then!"

Nick walks away, leaving me alone in front of the mirror. He's asking a lot from me. Not only do I have a new image and a new name, I have a new life. A life without Peter Parker.

Because I'm no longer Gwen Stacy.

 I'm Mary Jane Watson.
