"Mom?"

The door swings open and I stand with my mouth agape at the sight that is before me.

"Mom?" I croak out and her eyes grow wide. She is in a crop top and very short shorts all while uncle Mickey is just down the hall in boxers.

"You are not my daughter! My daughter looks much older than you. Also she would have called if her face had changed." She says and I sigh.

"Mom I did call but you didn't want to talk to me." I say and her eyes widen.

"I told you not come around anymore."

"I know but I need my mom." I said my voice getting quieter as I finish the sentence. The Doctor wraps his arm around me and I suddenly feel better.

"Wait I thought Ocrose was off limits to anyone but Jack." Mum says and tears spring to my eyes.

"Touchy subject, lets just leave it at he's not in the picture anymore." The Doctor says so that I don't have to.

"Mom I may have had the face of a thirty year old but I'm only 20. I still need you in my life Mom. I'm sorry about what happened with Shakespear but I was upset. Jack was being confusing, I had asked you not to, and then so much crap had happened that I couldn't do it. Looking like a thirty year old made me feel like I needed to act like one and I just snapped. I couldn't do it. So Mum, I am sorry for exploding at you." I say and feel a tear roll down my cheek. She wraps her arms around me and I let out the tears. I am still so young and I shouldn't be this stressed out about things in general.

"Sweetheart you know I would never want you to be stressed out over anything. The new face is adorable and I love your hair. Come in. We need to catch up, don't we Doctor?" Mum says and I grab the Doctors hand. We all walk into the small townhouse. I can smell the Kalle Lily scented candles and the ever present smell of stewing cabbages. Uncle Mickey's cologne reeks through the air and I feel like I am home. I feel instantly relaxed and both Mum and The Doctor can tell.

"So Mum you and Uncle Mickey huh?" I say and Mum looks at me surprised.

"You noticed?"

"It was pretty clear and you reek of his man perfume. Your turn." I say and she sighs.

"I hate to ask this but what happened to Jack?" Mum asks and my smile fades a bit.

"Jack and I are no longer on speaking terms. He walked out, I died inside, then I moved on. I had met an amazing young man, Matt was his name, and I felt safe. He was my age, he was human, he was everything I had dreamed of when I was little. He was wise for his age and that was before he started to travel with us in the TARDIS. But then the day came when we ran into more trouble than we could handle. He ended up dead. I dropped him off to the family and never saw his family again." I say and leave out the Doctor's involvement. Mom doesn't need to know that. It would kill her inside, I don't want to see the look in her eyes. The look like you just kicked her puppy, and you then dumped out Dad's ashes.

"You left out the doctor out of that spell. It's obvious you two are a thing. So spill!" Mum says and I suddenly need to pee.

"Doctor you can explain, I need to pee." I say and rush to the bathroom.
