Chapter 2

"Hey Meina."

"Oh Hey Nishiki how's it going?"

"Good have you seen Kimi around?"

"Yeah she was heading to your whatever it's called."

"Thanks."

Walking away Meina nods as she heads to her previous class completely on board to find her notebooks she left behind. In mention classroom she spots a spaced out male looking at her books as if it were difficult not to. Grabbing them she catches his attention. "You seem pretty spaced out there. I'm Meina Asahi," Meina smiles. "Don't mean to be a stranger, but do you know if there is a coffee place around here? I could really use the caffeine."

"Yeah I know this great place. I'll walk you there," He smiles back at her. "My name's Hideyoshi Nagachika, but you can call me Hide."

"Then you can call me Mei."

"You're really cute are you with anyone?"

"No one, but I wouldn't mind having a friend to hang out with .... You'll have to give me your number," Meina laughs at his shock expression. "I take it you ask a lot of people out."
".... Yeah they just never say yes," Hide admits laughing more to himself.
"Hey how about we make plans to go to this cool arcade joint I go to?"

"Sounds like fun," She close eye smiles walking alongside him.

"You certainly have quite the collection," a short haired male awes at a display of quinques hung in frames just within the entrance of his newest superior. Not many quinques, but still impressive seeing as the female who created them also sought the ghouls to craft her designs which she had also done herself.
"Thank you I'm sure one day you'll have a collection of your own once you get more experience," Madeline assures him with a smile. "And your name is?"

"Ah. R-Right ..... Uhm .... I never told you since this is the first time we've met. I am Seidou Takizawa," Seidou introduced himself with a file in his hand almost slipping luckily she caught the yellow folder.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Please call me Adeline when we're alone and refrain from entering office without a knock next time," Madeline instructs handing him the file back. "Now tell me why are you disturbing my work."
"More information on the ghoul you're hunting," Seidou hands her the file this time repeatedly apologizing. With a heavy sigh she takes it briefly skimming through the file she hands it back to him much to his confusion.

"I see ..... Thank you," She waves him off. "Oh and fair warning refrain from apologies. I hate them with a passion." Legs cross she sits back down and begins to type away in her computer. "You may leave now."

"What's wrong Kimi?" Meina questions at her frightened friend.

"I was with Ni-"

"Let me guess someone walked in on you two," she sighs pulling out her phone. On speed dial she calls Nishiyo. "Hey Turd eater your princess is freaking out. How much did they get a view of?"

Hearing two more voices talk in on his side of the phone she rolls her eyes. "Nice shoulders huh? Hideyoshi Nagachika," She chimed in.
"H-Hey Meina," Hide's cut off by her laughing through the phone.
"I'm joking sheez not like we're actually dating Nagachika," Meina shrugs off though of course he didn't or well couldn't see her. "Anywho Kimi's going to the bookstore in a bit don't worry I'll take care of her so you boys can go at it."

"I'm only into women," Nishiyo snaps at her joking remark. She'd often tease him about Nishiyo being more interested into males than woman.
"To bad Kimi darling light of my dark world care to say something?" Meina holds her phone out to Kimi.
"See you when we get home," Kimi laughs lightly shaking her head.
"Now where to first?" Meina chirps.

Spending the day together Meina briefly stops to make a call. "I'll just be a sec," Meina excuses herself to the restroom. They had decided to go to the mall. Now in a more private place she sighs with her back against the toilet door as she stood up. "Hey Touka I've got a favor to ask."

The no longer friendly demeanor being more serious than earlier.
"What do you want this time Jack?" Touka snaps over the phone at her.
"Your recent customer's with a human and a ghoul. May wanna help him. It looks like they haven't eaten in a long time," Jack hints at her. "It's that guy who you beat the crap out of."

"Nishiyo?"
"Yeah."
"Why don't you take care of it yourself?"
"I'm with a human right now."

Sighing over the phone Touka hangs up. "That takes care of that now what do you say for a little trip then. It's been awhile since I've been on a good run. Lets see how rusty we've gotten." 'Jack' spoke softly to herself as she unlocks the door for a side glance in the mirror. "Don't worry Mei I'll send her home early."

Smirking at the reflection Meina stared back with an upset look.
