Chapter 1

Hey y'all My name is Naveah but y'all can call me Veah for short. I live with my b.f whose name is Bingo and my son Jj. Bingo isn't jj's dad but he has been there since he was born jj's real dad got locked up when I found out I was pregnant then I met bingo a few months later. But enough of that let's get into the story.

Saturday
Veah p.o.v

I was awaken out of my sleep when I heard my son crying . I quickly got out of bed to go check on him. As I made it to his room I seen my son in his crib balling his eyes out. I quickly  grabbed him and began to shush him I didn't want bingo to hear him he hates when he's waken up to the baby crying that'll be another excuse to hit me. As jj quieted down I made my way into the kitchen with him tucked under my arms to make him a bottle. After I made his bottle and heated it up with one hand i turned the t.v on and sat down on the couch to feed him. After I finished his bottle I then burped him. I waited for him to burp a second time then I put him in his walker. I laughed at him as he jumped around in his walker. Jj looked so much like his dad it was crazy. From his eyes,hair,skin even his personality was like his dad I could tell he was gon be sum else. It made me sad to think Jarod was missing him grow up. Wouldn't be like this for long tho because word around town is that he was getting out in a few months I don't kno what I'm going to do either because bingo doesn't want Jarod around even tho that's his real dad. Bingo feels like Jarod put himself in jail n is missing out on jj. Bingo has been there since day 1 and treats jj like his own but at the same time Jarod is his real dad  I don't say anything anymore because Bingo gets upset. As my show went on commercial I got up to make Bingo some breakfast. He didn't like to wake up n there was no food already prepared. I decided to make him sum grits, pancakes and bacon. As I finished his food I turned the oven off and went to wake him up. I checked on jj in the living room before heading to our room. I walked into the room and made my way to his side of the bed. I gently shook him awake afraid of what mood he would wake up in.

"Bae.... wake up" I said shaking him again. He then stirred awake pulled the covers from over his face.
"I'm up Whatchu want?" He said looking me dead in my eyes.
"Yo food ready" I said looking away.
"Aight here I come" I then began to walk but I then felt him tug on my arm and pulled me onto the bed.
"What's wrong?" I asked a lil frightend thinking I had done sum wrong.
"I want a kiss before I eat" he said smirking looking into my eyes. I smiled as I leaned forward to peck him on the lips. I loved when he was sweet n caring like this these moments rarely happened. He then began to deepen the kiss but I quickly pulled away.
"Cmon before ur food gets cold" I said shyly
"Aight man" he said pecking me one last time before getting up following me out the room. I made his plate then say it in front of him. He thanked me as I walked away to grab jj. I sat with Bingo at the table playing with jj. Jj then began to reach for bingo, bingo then grabbed him from me playing with him as well. I smiled at them both. Bingo loved jj and I knew jj loved him they had a special bond. I was interrupted out of my thoughts when I heard my phone ring on the counter I got up to answer it.

"Who is that?" Bingo asked looking at me.I ignored him as I answered the phone.
"Hey pooh" I said. Pooh was Jarods cousin.
"Wassup veah" he said as I heard shuffling in the background.
"Wyd" I asked
"Nun finna Smoké but aye I wanna tell u sum" he said
"What is it?" I asked
"U around dude? Come from around him" he told me. I looked over at Bingo who had finished eating and was now sitting in the living room with jj on his lap. So I made my way outside our apartment n sat on the chair in front of the door.
"Ok go head" I told him
"I talked to  rod the other day"
"U did? How is he?" I asked.
"He good he asked about u and the baby I told him y'all was straight." He said
"Ohh ok good" I said
"He wants u to come see him" he told me. I hadn't seen Jarod since he got locked up I was so mad at him because I wanted him to get out the streets for the sake of our child on the way but he didn't listen and got caught up. Once he was locked up I cut all contact with him.
"See me for what ?" I asked annoyed
"Gurl u kno y stop acting like that u kno he didn't me for that shit to go down like that" he told me. I sighed because deep down I knew it was true. I knew deep down that Jarod was jus tryna provide for me and the baby n didn't mean to get locked up.
"But look tho I'm going Tuesday so imma come getchu around 7am" he said
"Wait I never said I was going" I said
"Gurl u is aigh.... Quit actin like that" he told me
"Fine"
"Aight bet I'll call u Tuesday to see wasup" he said
"Ok" I said
"Bet" he said hanging up.
I sighed because I knew bingo wouldn't let me go meaning I would have to sneak and go n I don't like lying. I'm not going to take jj cuz I don't want him to see his dad like that. I then made my way back into the house. I walked into the house to see them both still on the couch but jj spread out in his arms sleep. I made my way over to them sitting next to bingo. I laid my head on his shoulder but he moved it away.
