Butch's POV
Because I was launched into the air by that goddamn powerpuff, I couldn't help my brothers and now Boomer's gone. Brick is terribly injured and the girls got away.

Most importantly, I GOT BEAT UP BY THOSE GIRLS.

Nothing hurts more right now than my pride.

Brick was sprawled out on the floor next to all the broken furniture. His face looked like it was gonna go swollen. His clothes were torn, which I can't say much for mine.

When that green puff launched me up, it was almost to space. She rushed at me with so much speed and her eyes glowed with anger. She beat me up and treated me as a basketball before launching me back down.

I knew from just the look, that anger wasn't normal.

I landed on Brick and here we are. One less of a brother, not a single Powerpuff and no answers.

"How'd you only come to realize this was all getting to dangerous?" Brick asked, his voice was low and a pinch of anger was in it.

I looked over at him but he didn't look back. He only waited for my answer with his arm covering his eyes.

I sighed, "Because when I was launched up by that green puff, for a moment I actually thought she was going to end me."

Brick shifted his position and slowly sat up. He glanced over at the picture frame and reached out for it.

"This has to have something to do with the whole situation." He threw the picture frame at me which I caught with no problem.

It was the picture from earlier that Brick found. The girls with the professor in front of the statue.

Confused as I am, I asked but before I could say anything Brick answered. "I was almost killed by Blossom too. She had no mercy nor hesitation. Not until her eyes fell on that photo."

"So what you're saying is?"

"Something DID happen to the professor and we need to know what."

I shrugged because of course I knew that but this town has no idea what happened. Even if they did they won't tell us.

Brick finally got up and took the photo from my hands. "Let's get back and rest so we can find Boomer."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both Brick and I couldn't sleep but we haven't said anything to each other. The room was silent and uncomfortable to say the least. It got me thinking to myself how are we possibly going to find Boomer.
We don't even know where the girls went. If I would have known something like this would happen then I should've gotten that tracker to put on Boomer when Brick said no.
We have phones but mine is crushed and I'm pretty sure Brick's and Boomer's are too.
We're left with nothing. No leads, no traces, no nothing!
We're back at the start minus Boomer.
I glanced over to Brick, he was sitting at his desk next to one of the windows looking out. He kept the picture, for what? I don't know.
We may be the new "heroes" of Townsville but we still have connections to our old buds. But even if we ask them about anything, they won't help. I doubt any of them actually knows.
Mojo Jojo has also seem to retire when he found out the girls were gone. Which I don't understand why. If I were him I'd cause more chaos to the town. But maybe he didn't like the thought of having to go against us.
As for Him. We've never heard of him since the statue was built. He vanished just like that.
Sometimes I do think that maybe one of them has to be behind all of this. It has to be. My bet is high on Him but even so, why did the girls get influenced by Him?
"Do you think the professor is dead?" Brick asked.
Hearing that coming from Brick, I was speechless. I had nothing else to say in return but I did manage to ask why'd he think that.
He shook his head. Went back to silence.
My shoulder and back still hurt from the fall, needless to say, she's still strong but not stronger than me. I don't know why I kept thinking about that fight, that moment specifically. It just bothered me so much the way she looked almost as if she wanted to finish me off there.
Then it hit me. She said something to me in that moment. I bolted on my feet and stood by Brick's side. My hand on his shoulder made him jump.
"Why would we protect a town that didn't protect my family." I recited from memory.
"What??" Brick arched his eyebrows at me.
"That's what Buttercup said to me. I think that's the cause of all of this and their disappearance." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck still aching from the fall.
Brick shot up and matched my height, "If she said that, does that mean something did happen to the professor?"
I shrugged.
A sigh from Brick expecting more than a shrug from me. "If that's the case, then the town must know something about it and they're keeping it a secret."
I gasped, "Do you think the mayor knows?"
"Most probably."
