I see Iris sitting in a chair as I enter the practice room.
“What is going on? What happened?” She asks, moving frantically towards me.
“Uh, Jungkook had a few questions regarding the shoot. He just wanted to clear it out. We can begin now.” I say, and the door opens. Jungkook walks in.
“Are you ready now?” She asks him. He gives a slight nod and goes over to her.
“So, you guys can like give each other your intro and then move on to ask questions…” I say, trying to explain.
“Yeah, we know. We’ll be fine without that overview.” Iris says and waves me off.
“Okay, I’m gonna roll the cameras then.” I say and get the camera ready.
The shoot seemed a bit uncomfortable with Jungkook sitting a bit quietly and Iris being loud, as usual.
They introduced themselves and tried to make it seem like they were on a first date, trying to get to know each other. Iris was the only one who seemed interested in what Jungkook liked, what he disliked, his hobbies, etc.
When he didn’t ask her back, she filled him in on what her interests were on her own.
“Why did you bring me here today, Jungkook?” Iris asks suddenly.
“Because I really like this place more than any other. This is where I started my career and this is where I met the most important person of my life.” He says and looks directly at me.
“Who is that?” She asks.
“I mean people. My members, of course.” He answers and looks back at her.
Memories of us flood me. I remember it as if it was yesterday. I was about to open the door to the practice room and he opened it first causing me to fall over him, and all the members laughing around us.
“I think this should be enough.” Jungkook says and gets up to go out.
“Yeah, we’ll pack up now.” I say and shut off my camera.
As I’m about to leave, Iris stops me by standing in front of me.
“Do you have something personal with Jungkook?” She asks, eyeing me weirdly.
“Of course. I work the cameras around here, so I do get to take closeups of all the members.” I say and try to move away from her.
“Does he have a girlfriend?” She asks, as soon as I’m about to exit.
“I’m not sure. I don’t really care about who’s dating who, and I suggest you do the same.” I say and walk out.
“Got it?” A member of my team asks me about the footage.
“Are you getting started on the editing right away?” I ask.
“Yeah, the sooner I complete this, the sooner we’ll be free from all of this.” He says and I nod, giving him my camera.
“Are you done with tomorrow’s task?” He asks.
“I’m almost done. I’ll inform you guys about it in some time.” I say, and get started on the work for tomorrow’s shoot.
After a couple of hours, I gather everyone around.
“Okay, so I’ve completed the list of tasks that we’re gonna have for each episode.” I say and hand one of them the list. They read from the list, all at once.
“If there’s any corrections anyone thinks are necessary, tell me about it.” I tell them.
“Is this a short series? I see only 5 episodes?” One of them asks.
“Yeah, PD-nim told me this was an experimental series, so he wanted to keep it short.” I say and everyone nods.
“Got it.” They say after reading and give me a thumbs up.
“Okay then, I think it’s officially time for us to get off work now. Do not be late for tomorrow’s shoot.” I say and bid everyone goodbye.
