26. Author's note

This story took me literally over 3 months to complete. I entered this in a competition slightly edited so I hope it does well.
I know there are some small mistakes I'll fix later.

Now let's talk about Yoongi and Jimin.

I put a lot of thought into their fears, actually.

I thought back to Wings and I Need U/Run eras.

Yoongi is constantly setting things on fire. In Fire, he set a person on fire, in I Need U he set a bed on fire, in Agust D and Give It To Me he was literally in fire and smashing cars.

Yoongi and fire was a cool idea in my head so I thought, maybe he could be afraid of water because he likes fire. But then I said nO-

Yoongi sets things on fire when hes upset. Hence, I Need U and the obviously depressing lyrics and mv.

So I was like, if hes upset and uses destruction to cope, then I feel like he should be scared to get upset with something and be somewhere he actually cares about something, accidently setting it on fire.

This is why I made him afraid of fire.

Now for Jiminie~

Jimin in I Need U is in a bathtub, correct?

Near the end of the video, he is huddled outside of the bathtub, with the water splashing over the side and he's shivering.

This gave me obvious reason for why he would be scared of it. He's literally being attacked 😖😔

Then I remembered Lie. In Lie, he falls back into a bathtub, waking up on a hospital bed.

I know this isnt the concept they were going for, but for my own concept I thought: maybe Jimin had an experience where he almost drowned in water, and hes waking up in a hospital bed recovering from said experience.

Lastly for Jimin, during Run, Jin throws him in the bathtub. He pushes his head under the water for a few seconds.

Although this was all fun and games, I would imagine it would still be quite scary.

This was reason enough for me to give Jimin aquaphobia.

For now, I want to be done with this book and focus on other ones.
