Adiya Monaé Taylor
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
August 30, 2019"Dior, sis, everything looks great. It's all coming together, so can we go and change. We been here since six in the morning, and it's half an hour til noon now." Adiya complained. "The event starts at two-thirty, but we still have to go to your place, wash and change our clothes, and get back here an hour early. Let these people do their job, and let's bounce."
Adiya was a sweaty ass mess, and just wanted to get away from the Philly heat. She didn't know how she was going to survive the whole event.
Dior sighed, but nodded. Turning to her assistant, she handed the event plans to her, and made her way over to Adiya.
"I'm sorry sis. This is my first time planning the event without my mother's help. I just want it to be perfect, and I want everyone to enjoy themselves."
Adiya patted her on her back, "I never been to one of your mom's events, but this shit is mad dope. You went above and beyond for this event, and it shows. Now let's go get us a little bit of air conditioning before the heat takes us."
Both ladies walked to Dior's car, and got in. Dior immediately turned her car on, sighing happily at the feel of cold air. Turning on the radio, Power 98.9 came on playing P*$$Y Fairy (OTW) by Jhené Aiko.
"I'm gon stop at WaWa and pick us up some hoagies. Then we can go back to mine because you smelling a little ripe sis." Dior said holding her nose.
Adiya stuck her middle finger up, before laughing. After sweating in eighty something degree heat, she wasn't expecting to smell like flowers.
"Let me ask you something," Dior said as she stopped at a red light. "What's up with you and Diesel?"
Adiya palmed her face. After meeting Diesel at Dior's place, they had texted the next day heavy, then she stopped receiving messages from him. Days had passed, before he decided to message her again. She had decided that he was one of those guys who only texted when things were convenient for themselves. She wasn't worried about it, just happy that he showed his ways, before she was in too deep.
Adiya shook her head, "Nothing at all."
She decided to keep it short and sweet because at the end of the day, Diesel is her brother. What goes on between Adiya and Dior, and then Adiya and Diesel are two separate relationships that need to stay apart.
Pulling into a WaWa parking lot, Dior said, "I can tell that you're not going to tell me anything, but I'm going to assume that my brother messed up...I'm sorry about him.
Shaking her head, Adiya said, "You have nothing to be sorry for. What goes on with your brother and I, has nothing to do with you. You did nothing sis, plus, he's just not my type."
