Salena's P.O.V. (January 17: AGE: 5)
I scrunched up my eyes at the bright sunlight that streamed in through my window. I sat up and looked at the clock.
'9:45 am' was what it read. I groaned. My doctor's appointment was in an hour. And that meant that I had to wait a whole hour.
I am now around four and a half but I've yet to manifest a quirk yet. It was getting frustrating now. Victoria had already manifested her's and obviously so did Kacchan. In fact, most of my class had found their quirks.
Me and three other kids were the only ones who hadn't gotten their quirks. Me and three other boys. Ugh! It was super frustrating that I was the only girl who hadn't found their quirk. All the other girls had stuff like growing flowers and conjuring unicorn illusions, but I want a quirk that could be a hero's quirk like my daddy's.
He had grown to be the tenth best hero now. Mommy and I were really happy for him. Now he had a chance of saving even more people than before. He was home a little less but whenever he came home he always brought me a present.
"Twinkle," Daddy called into the hallway, "Breakfast!"
I slipped into a small pastel jean dress before running out. I ran into the kitchen and was suddenly picked up by daddy. He twirled me around before setting me down again at the counter.
Mommy came in and sat beside me.
"Thanks for the food," we said in unison.
Daddy and I dug into our scrambled eggs and sausage, while mommy poked at her food.
"Mommy are you okay?"
She nodded, "Yeah I'm just feeling a bit under the weather, that's all."
"Okay!"
Daddy hesitated before mommy gave him a small smile then continued to eat. I finished first and hopped down from the stool.
"Come on. Come on. Come on," I whined.
My parents just shook their heads and got ready to go out.
While they did that I was trying to grab a glass and fill it up with water. When I couldn't reach I let it droop and suddenly the glass cup was in the shape of a star. I was examining it when Mommy and Daddy came out. I set it on the counter and ran to strap on my shoes.
They helped me into the car and off we went.Since we live near the clinic it didn't take that long so no radio songs unfortunately. Daddy parked and I jumped out immediately, unable to hold in my excitement. Mommy took my hand before I could explode and we all walked together into the clinic.
~Time Skip~ (30 minutes)
I was now upside down on my chair trying to count higher than 20. Every time I got to 20 I forgot the next number.
"Salena Katike," a hospital guy called my name. I straightened up and walked into the office with my parents at my side.
The doctor kind of looked like a cartoon mole. Wrinkling and hunching over with teeny tiny circular glasses sitting on a big nose. His head had a ring of hair but none of the top.
"Alright Miss Salena, we are going to look at your results now."
A screen came up that showed a bunch of x-rays, "You are healthy and you are perfectly capable of getting a quirk. You see this," He pointed to a foot shaped diagram and emphasised the toes, "This joint means that you are perfectly normal. In fact you could find your quirk in no time."
I smiled and jumped up and down on the seat.
"What is the percentage of her getting either of our quirks," Mommy asked.
