CH. 9: Finally

A/N: this chaper is really short. its just a filler for now as I have a lot of stories in my head that are battling for my attention rn. Hope you guys are liking the story so far :)

 It had been a couple months since me and Nolan started dating and things were going fantastic. We would go to practice together and I would stay after and watch him practice with the trainer alone. I could see the happiness radiating off of him each day when he got off the ice without a migraine. When he was done we would go back to his place or mine and hang out or go have lunch. On game days we would sit in the box together and watch the game, intermissions were a little more eventful now with him around. Things were going great and one day I was sitting on the bench outside the locker room waiting for him to change when he came out grinning wider than I had ever seen and he ran up and scooped me up into a hug.
  "Not that I'm complaining, but why are you so happy today?" I smiled into his neck.
  "I can play! DR cleared me to play. I can finally get in a game." I squealed loudly and pulled his face to mine for a kiss.
  "I am so proud of you Nolan. I can't wait to see you play!" I wrapped my arms around his neck and we just stood there for a minute while I soaked in his happiness.
We were in the locker room that night while everyone was getting ready when AV came in and handed Nolan a piece of paper with the starting lineup on it. He smirked before getting everyones attention.
  "Alright listen up fuckers, time for the starting line up." I slapped him lightly, knowing Ava was recording this for me to put on social media. He started backwards with the goalie before going to defensemen and finally forwards.
  "And finally we got TK, Haysey and...Patty." it took a minute before everyone realized what he said and when they did they all jumped up shouting and engulfed Nolan in a giant group hug, causing me to tear up a bit. Ava walked over to me with the camera around her neck.
  "So that's why you wanted me to record the lineup tonight?" I nodded and smiled at her as she hugged me. I watched as the boys took turns slapping Nolan on the back before he walked up and gave me a kiss and then headed to his stall to get ready. The boys all whistled and I rolled my eyes before turning and walking out so everyone could finish getting ready. I went with Ava to her office to help her edit the video before she sent it to me to upload.
 I was waiting outside the locker room for Nolan to finish with the media after the game. He had done so good. He got a goal and 3 assists in the 5-3 win over Washington. When he walked out I ran to him and jumped into his waiting arms and wrapped my arms around him before kissing him.
  "You did SO good, babe. I could not be more proud of you." I said with some tears in my eyes.
  "Thank you for being here to push me Jaz. You've definitely been my rock these last couple of months." we stood there quietly for a few minutes before he grabbed my hand and walked me towards the car to go home. Everyone was going to his house to celebrate.
