after i took some pictures of katie, we both just talked about anything
as if i hadn't already fallen head over heels for this girl, our conversation made me fall harder
she's perfect. but, i'm still in the friend zone, and i know it.
although, while we were talking, i felt like we both shared a spark, like not just me. i feel like there could be a 1% chance of her falling for me too.
no. that's crazy. is it?
katie's pov
me and jaden just talked for a while until it got pretty late.
and i could've sworn that while he was talking to me, i felt something?
i'm not sure what it was tho.
do i like jaden? wait...no way. i could never. right?
jaden's pov
i looked at my phone and saw that it was 10:12pm
"hey, it's pretty late so we should go" i said
"ok that's fine" she replied
we both got out and got our towels.
we dried off a little then headed back up to our room.
some boomers yelled at us from there rooms because we were being too loud, but that only caused us to laugh more
"okay okay" katie started saying while we got to our room "do you wanna shower first?" she asked
"no you go ahead, i know you don't like staying up too late" i said
"you remember me telling you that?" she asked in a sort of shocked tone
shit. no i'm gonna seem creepy.
~flashback
me and katie are in 8th grade, and it's our first sleepover together
time: 11:23
"you wanna watch another movie?" i asked after we just finished watching toy story
"um we can, but i don't really like staying up too late. but don't tell anyone, i'll seem lame" she said with a giggle
i've remebered that moment ever since
~end flashback
katie's pov
i got into the shower and started thinking
now i know "not liking to stay up late" isn't a big thing to remember, but i was still a little taken back that jaden has remembered that tiny detail o shared with him 3 years ago
wait, does he like me?
no wtf. of course he doesn't. that's literally insane. we're just good friends. right?
god this is too much
i quickly finished up since i didn't wanna take too long.
i got out and realized that i forgot my pj's.
shit
i put my towel on and slowly opened the bathroom door, but i didn't walk all the way into the room and this probobly confused jaden since he asked,
"katie? you good?"
"ummm yea kinda." i said awkwardly
"what's up?" he asked starting to get out of bed
"no no" i said quickly stopping him from moving anymore
i know i'm not naked but it will still be awkward
"what?" he asked sitting back down
"okay, i'm not naked but i forgot my pj's and i just need to grab them, so can you close your eyes?" i asked
he chuckled and did as i said
i giggled and walked over to my suitcase and got out a loose maroon crop top and some grey sweats then headed back into the bathroom to change.
i got out and i meant to wait for jaden to get out of the shower, but i fell asleep almost as soon as i laid down.
jaden's pov
i walked out of the bathroom with just my grey sweats on since i don't usually sleep with a shirt and katie knows that so it wouldn't b too awkward
i walked out and saw that katie was already sleeping. i smiled at how cute she was before getting into the bed too.
i laid down and i wasn't too close to katie since i didn't wanna make her uncomfortable, even though i wanted to cuddle the heck out of that angel
i was starting to fall asleep when i felt katie's head move to my chest.
i hesitated for a minute, but i then put my arms around her waist and drifted asleep.
—morning
i woke up and saw that katie wasn't beside me. i heard her in the bathroom though so i just went on my phone as i waited
when i turned it on, i saw that bryce had tagged me in a photo, so curious, i clicked on it
