jaden's pov

i was trying to find katie after what just happened.

she seemed upset. i'm not sure if it was because i just broke up with her best friend, or if she wanted that to be her.

i did too.

i don't even know what happened. i just made out with a 15 year old. god i'm gross.

i think cynthia was high, she also mentioned stuff about being mad at mads so i guess this was her way of getting back at her for whatever girl drama they have going right now. as for me, i think i was just pissed about nick being all flirty with katie. like no. she's mine. even if she's doesn't know it yet

i decided to see if katie was in our room, and lucky for me, she was

"katie" i said in an 'let me explain' tone

"you're good jaden, you and mads broke up, and we are just friends, i guess" she said while looking up from her phone and whispering the 'i guess' part to herself. i'm happy i heard it tho. does she like me?

"it just happened katie, i swear it didn't mean anything. plus she's fifteen, i would catch a case if anything else happened" i said trying to get her to look up at me

"you're fine jaden, i don't care" she said still without looking at me.

she got up and started to walk towards the door. no. i can't let her leave now. i feel like i need to tell her everything right here, right now.

as she started to pass me, i lightly grinned her wrist causing her to turn and look at me

you know what, fuck it. i'm falling hard for this girl and i need to tell her

"cuddles?" i asked making puppy dog eyes

"what?" she said sounding a little taken back from my mood change

"please" i said with a fake pouting face

this caused her to giggle and she nodded her head.

damn, i didn't think that would work

we both sat on the bed and we looked at each other. i stared into her beautiful blue eyes.

ok, time to risk it all

katie's pov

ok, if jaden was turning on the flirt, so would i.

"do you just want to cuddle" i said while smirking

jaden returned a smirk

"you're driving me crazy" he said while getting closer to my face

my face heated from his comment and i noticed him looking at my lips then back at my eyes.
it wasn't long before he smirked again then closed the gap between us. i felt butterflies and buzzing in my stomach and heart. i was making out with jaden. my best friend. my crush. our lips moved in sync as my hands made their way to his hair. i ran my fingers through his curls while our lips were still connected. i kept playing with his hair and he let out a breath because of it. he liked it. i smirked into the kiss. we pulled apart for a second while i flipped us over to where i was now on top of him. he bit his bottom lip before pulling me back down to his lips. we once again moved our lips in sync and i occasionally rested my hands on his hair or jaw for steadiness. we continued to make out for a while, but eventually stopped since i don't think either of us were ready for what could've happened.

ahah hey guys! ok this chapter was mostly so different than what i usually write, but let me know if you liked it lol.

i also got the idea of most of the make out stuff from another book but i forgot it 😬
