katie's pov

after we pulled away, jaden just stared into my eyes. in was silent too, but not awkward. it was as if we were both processing what just happened.

i'm glad that happened. jaden gives me butterflies that i didn't even notice until i saw him with someone else.

but what about mads. i'm not sure what will happen with me and jaden after this. will we date? will we still be friends? will we act like nothing happened? will it be friends with benefits? i'm not sure what we're gonna be, but i'm sure as hell not gonna be the one who asks.

will i tell mads? i don't have too. but she's my best friend, and jaden is her ex that she probably still loves. am i a horrible person?

i snapped out of my thoughts and looked at jaden, he was still deep into his thoughts tho.

jaden's pov

woah.

that just happened. that was the best thing ever.

she's an amazing kisser. better than mads ngl.

what does this mean. should i ask her out? wait no, that would be too soon.

is she gonna tell mads. i won't, and if she does that's her choice. mads already hates me but i don't want her to hate katie. but if me and katie date and her and mads are still friends, then that might be awkward. what am i thinking. she probably didn't even wanna kiss me.

she was amazing tho

i snapped out of my thoughts to see katie looking at me with a slight smile on her face.

we were sitting very close since she just got off of me after what happened.

"you're amazing angel" i said while bringing my hand to her face and resting it on her jaw.

she melted her face into my hand and blushed at my comment

"so are you hossler" she said while giving me a cute smirk

i blushed too but quickly tried to hide it so i don't look stupid.

i was about to respond until katie got a text on her phone.

i was able to glance at the notification before she picked it up and it was just from bryce.

"oh, bryce wants us to go to him and joshes room" she said while putting down her phone

"only if you want too" i responded. i had just noticed that my hand was resting on her thigh. i didn't even realize. i slowly took it off but she must've noticed because she did that cute ass giggle of hers.

"come on weirdo" she said while still laughing and getting off the bed

i chuckled and playfully shook my head then followed her to bryce and josh's room.

we got there and their room had two beds. josh and nessa were in one of them and bryce had the other.

since we have bryce one of our room keys, he gave us one of his. i'm not sure why we did that because bryce is stupid but ya know it just happened. with the key we had, we just walked in without knocking.

bryce was on his phone and josh and nessa were cuddling while watching a movie.

"what do you want idiot" katie said while jumping onto bryces bed

our friend group is pretty close. it's me, katie, bryce, josh, and nessa. and all of us usually bully bryce because he is an idiot, so we all just chuckled at katie's comment towards him.

"okay rude" bryce said as he got up and started wrestling katie.

yeah that wasn't weird either. bryce usually wrestles all of us whenever he's bored so we've learned how to defend ourselves.

we watched and laughed as they both struggled a bit until katie was able to push bryce off the bed completely, sending us all into laughter

"okay loser get up and tell us why we're here" katie said while still laughing

"well fine," bryce said as he got up from the floor "those lovebirds are boring" he said while pointing at josh and nessa causing both of them to playfully act hurt "so i thought u two lovebirds could come hang out with me" he said to me and katie. that idiot just referred to me and katie as 'lovebirds', wow ok.
