Case of the Stolen Heart

The New Girl

It was Monday after the party and I was in my music class when I hear Ms. McCall introduced the class to the new girl.

The girl, Vanessa, walks in with very curly hair and a big smile on her face.

Ms. McCall tells Vanessa to take a seat next to me.

"Hey I'm Cassidy." I say as she takes a seat.

"Hey I'm Vanessa." She replies.

Through class me and Vanessa talk and get to know each other.

I learn that Vanessa was a cheerleader at her old school and tell Vanessa about me being a singer.

As the bell rings I head to my locker.
I hear Jasmine coming towards me and I can tell she has some news.

"Guess what happened." Jasmine repeats.

Without being able to guess what happened, Jasmine tells me that Eli asked her out.

I tell her that was great and I tell her about the new girl Vanessa.

The bell rings to go to our next class which for me is physical science.

I walk to my class and take my seat. Adam walks to class and sits in the seat in front of me.

He turns around and asked me about the leaving the party early.

I told him it was because Jasmine got drunk. The teacher walks in and gives the worst news in the world to a student.

The teacher passes out a pop quiz and Adam turns around and ask me for the answers.

I tell him no and reminds me that I owe him for what happened the first day of school.

I tell him he can forget about it. He gives me a sad face and he turns back around.

It is finally time for lunch and I walk over to my table with Jasmine.

I see Vanessa trying to find somewhere to sit and I call her over to sit with me a Jasmine.

I introduce Vanessa and Jasmine to each other and we continue to eat.

Vanessa tells us about how her parents will be out of town and that she wants to invite me and Jasmine over this weekend.

We exchanged numbers and decided to talk later.

Its the end of the day and I'm at my locker.

"Hey Cassidy." Adam and Jack say walking towards me.

"Hey boys." I say closing my locker door.

"Who was that girl you and Jasmine were talking to at lunch?" Adam ask.

I tell them about Vanessa, but don't mention the sleepover.

"Is she dating anyone?" Adam ask as we walk out the building.

"Is this why you came to talk to me?" I ask walking to my car.

"No." Adam answers in a sarcastic way.

"We wanted to know if you wanted to come to our house." Jack says as I put my stuff in the car.

"Sure I come over." I say getting in the car.

Adam gets in the passenger seat.

"What are you doing Adam?" I ask confused.

"Jack is gonna drive to our house and you will follow." He says.

"I know where your house is." I tell them.

Adam doesn't move and I realized Jack already went to his car.

I follow Jack out of the school parking lot and to his house.

I haven't been to their house in a while, but I remember when I use to go over when I was younger.

As I drive Adam messes with the radio.

"Can you stop that?" I ask him.

"I'm trying to find something to listen to" he says continuing to mess with the radio.

He finally finds a station and goes on his phone.

I notice Jack pull into a gas station.

I ask Adam what he is doing and Adam tells me snack time.

I park my car and we walk into the gas station.

Before I can look for a something Jack pulls me back and pulls out a blindfold.

I ask them what the blindfold fold is for.

"You have five minutes to get as many things as you can." Jack says.

"But why?" I ask.

"Its fun." Adam replies.

Before I can argue about why I didn't want to do this Jack ties the blindfold over my eyes.

"And... go!" The boys say.

I begin touching around and grab things.

Time is up and the blindfold is taken off. I look at my hands and see some candy and chips.

We pay for the items and walk to the cars.

"Wasn't that fun Willows'?" Adam ask as we get into the car.

"Thats was fun." I say laughing.

"I love it when you laugh." Adam says making me smile.

I continue to drive and following Jack.

We arrive at their house and go into their backyard.

We sit in there old tree house and eat the snacks.

We end up talking about the upcoming fall break in three weeks.

"Hey, what if we go to Florida?" Jack says.

"That'll be fun." I say.

"And we can make it a group thing." Jack say.

I see its getting late and I tell the boys that I'll see them later.
