Case of the Stolen Heart

Bad News

Me, Leo, and Emily were sitting on the couch for a family meeting.

"Kids we have some news." My mom says.

"Well you father has some news." My mom corrects herself and looks to my dad.

My dad has a regretful look on his face and sits down.

"I had an affair with my secretary, Im sorry." My dad says putting his head down.

The room is silent and I get up.

"Bullshit!" I yell.

"Cassidy Willows." My mom says looking at me.

"He has no right to cheat in you and act sorry. He knows what he was going." I say

"Enough Cassidy." My mom yells.

"Why are you telling us now? I ask sitting down.

My dad stays silent.

"You got her pregnant, didn't you?" I ask.

"Cassidy, its was an accident." My dad says sounding sorry.

"Oh so you just accidentally had sex with another women and got her pregnant." I say getting back up again.

Leo just sits there and Emily is on the verge of crying.

"Fuck you Thomas." I say going to my room.

"He is your father." My mom says.

I grab my things and go back downstairs.

"Sweetie where are you going? My dad ask.

"Im not your sweetie and your not my dad." I say walking out the door.

I put Oz in the car and get in the driver's seat.

My tough girl act does away and I start crying.

I drive and end up at Adam's house.

I knock on the door looking like a raccoon from crying so much.

Adam's mom opens the door and gives me a hug.

She lets me go and allows me and Oz to walk in.

"Wanna talk about it?" Ellie, Adam and Jack's mom, ask.

"He cheated on my mom with his secretary and got her pregnant." I say forcing the tears to stay inside me.

"Baby, Im sorry." Ellie says.

I wipe my eyes and take a sip of water from the bottle Ellie gave me.

"Adam will be back soon and you guys can talk, but you can stay as long as you want." Ellie says.

"Thank you." I say.

"Dont thank me, you are like a daughter to me." Ellie says.

The door opens and Jack and Adam walk into the kitchen.

They drop the some bags on the floor and run to me.

"What happened, Cassidy?" Adam ask sitting next to me.

I tell the boys what happened.

"That asshole!" Adam says punching the counter.

I jump a bit.

"Dude." Jack says looking at Adam.

"Sorry, Cassidy. Adam says.

"Its fine." I whisper.

"Just got off the phone with your mom." Ellie says coming into the kitchen.

"Does she want me to come home?" I ask.

"She just wanted to know if you were here and said you can stay as long as you need." Ellie says.

"Boys show Cassidy to the guest room." Ellie says.

They show me to the guest room and i put me stuff down.

"Im so glad I can stay here, just dont want to over stay my welcome." I say out loud.

"My mom loves you." Jack says.

How long have you been there?" I ask startled.

"Not long." Jack says coming into the room.

"Do you think I'm being over dramatic?" I ask.

"Not at all." Jack ask sitting on the bed.

"How would you have reacted? I ask.

"If my dad cheated on my mom, I would kick his ass." Jack says.

"Jack!" I say surprised.

"For real Cassidy, my mom has been though hell the past few year and my dad doesn't need to add on to it." Jack says seriously.

Ellie has been though a lot. Divorce, remarriage with Jack and Adam's dad, and a miscarriage.

"I hope my husband doesn't cheat on me." I say looking down.

"Don't worry I wont." Adam says coming into the room.

I lift up my head and smile.

"If I ever do that Jack has full permission to beat my ass." Adam says.

I start to feel better thanks to the boys.

Its lunch time and Ellie order pizza.

Ellie and David had to leave for work.

"Lets make a cake." I said finishing me pizza.

"Ok, but why?" Jack ask.

"I want to thank your mom again." I say.

"Lets make chocolate." Adam says.

We get out the box chocolate cake mix and bake the cake.

"Who gets to lick the bowl? Jack ask.

"Nobody licks the bowl, it has raw egg in it." I say taken the bowl to the sink.

"Hey!" Adam says noticing what Im doing.

"Jack, look who is looking the bowl." Adam continues.

"Oh hush." I say still licking the bowl.

"You better share." Jack says trying to get the rubber spatula.

"No." I say trying to run.

"Going somewhere?" Adam says holding me hostage in his arms.

"Let me go!" I say.

"Take the bowl and spatula." Adam says to Jack.

Jack grabs the bowl and spatula.

"Sharing his caring Cassidy." Jack says licking the spatula.

The cake is finished and we place Oreos to decorate it.

Ellie comes home and she smiles at the cake.

We eat the cake saving a slice for David, Jack and Adam's dad.

"Goodnight Cassidy." Ellie says.

"Goodnight Ellie." I say.
