Case of the Stolen Heart

The Trip

A few weeks have past since the fight between Adam and Kai.

And in those few weeks a lot has both Kai and Adam got suspended and now its fall break.

Okay so maybe not a lot happened.

Everyone decided to drive to Vanessa house and drive in her RV.

I was driving with Jack and Adam.

Im still packing when I hear the door open.

"Cassidy, Jack and Adam are here." I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

I hear footsteps coming towards my room.

"Last minute packing isn't good." Jack says opening the door.

"I started packing last night, but then fell asleep." I say putting some shorts into my suitcase.

"You're gonna cause us to be late." Adam says looking at his phone.

"Its only 2:40, oh shit!" I say rushing into the bathroom to grab my toiletry and makeup bag.

I finish packing and we leave at 3:00 on the dot.

We arrive at Vanessa's house.

"Finally we thought y'all change your minds." Eli says putting bags into the trunk.

"It's Cassidy who caused us to almost be late." Adam says putting his hand on my head.

I smack his hands away from my head and walk into the RV.

Inside I see Vanessa and Jasmine putting up some snacks.

"Hey girl." Jasmine and Vanessa say as we embrace in a group hug.

"Im so excited for this trip." I say as we let go of each other.

"Same and thanks for letting us use your RV." Jasmine says.

"No problem." Vanessa says.

"We are all set." Says Eli as the boys walk into the RV.

"From Virginia to Florida lets go!" Adam yells.

Jack volunteered to drive for the first few hours.

In hour or so into the ride everyone was getting bored.

Eli and Adam ate half of the snacks and blamed it on being growing boys.

Jasmine was sleep and Vanessa was on her phone with her headphones in.

I walk up to the passenger seat and make conversation with Jack.

"I bet your stoke to go to Florida." I say to Jack.

"Yea as you know I love traveling." Jack says paying attention to the road.

We talk for a while before I head back to the couch and take a nap.

I wake up to see we had pull over at a gas station.

"Look who is finally up." Adam says as I walk out the RV.

"Where are we?" I ask yawning.

"I think we're in Charlotte, North Carolina." Jasmine answers.

I notice Jack is filling up the RV and Eli must be inside.

"Man, Im starving." Adam says rubbings is stomach.

"How is that possible?" I ask.

"Im a growing boy." He says lifting his shirt.

I look away to hide the fact that I'm blushing.

"There is a Burger King across the street." Vanessa says.

"There is a Taco Bell twenty minutes away." Jack says looking at his phone.

"Gross." Says Jasmine making a gross face.

"I'll honestly eat anything." Adam says putting his hands in his head.

"Okay, how about Sonics?" Eli suggests.

We all agree Sonics and get inside the RV.

We order our food and a lady comes up with our order.

"Who ordered the cheese burger with blueberry slush?" Jack ask passing back the food.

"Thats me bro." Eli says getting his food.

"The chicken sandwich and lemonade slush is mine." Jasmine says.

Everyone gets their food and drinks and this time Eli is driving.

As i eat my mozzarella sticks I notice Adam reaching down to take one.

"Hey thats my cheese stick." I say as I take his fries.

"And those are my fries." He says pretending to be angry.

"Kids dont make me turn this RV around!" Eli yells from the front seat.

"Adam started it." I jokingly whine.

Everyone starts laughing.

When I look back at the time its 7 o'clock and everyone is sleep.

Except for Eli who insisted on driving the night.

I notice Adam sleeping with his head on a pillow.

Something tells me to cuddle up to him and I do.

Oddly he doesn't reject me wanting to cuddle with him.

I lay next to him facing away from him and he places his arm around me.

I slowly end up falling asleep smiling.
