Revised Version
Jimin held onto my hands tightly but didn't say a single word as we headed home. I glanced at him, but he kept his dim eyes trained on the road ahead of us with a stern expression. I felt like crying, but I swallowed the lump and held back. Jimin is already upset. I shouldn't do this to him. The car came to a halt, so we quickly got off. We entered the mansion to find Taehyung lying on the couch with his phone in his hand. He glanced at us and froze when he noticed my smudged face. However, even before he got the chance to say anything, Jimin and I disappeared. I quickly showered and got ready for bed. Jimin gently held up my wrist to apply the cream around it. He wouldn't look at me for some reason.
"Are you mad?" I whispered, trying to catch his eyes. Jimin halted.
"Of course not. I'm just upset at myself for not being there sooner," Jimin sighed, squeezing my hands gently.
"It's not your fault," I pouted sadly at him. Why is he blaming himself?
"Araso, don't worry. Let's sleep," Jimin said with a reassuring smile, leaning in to peck me on the lips before setting aside the cream. Despite his smile, a grim expression lingered on his face. Is he lying to me? Sora, trust him. Shaking off the thoughts, I settled onto the mattress and fell asleep almost instantly. I must be very exhausted.
Fast Forward
To my surprise, Yoongi showed up at the university the next day. He sat in the far corner of the upper row by himself. I kept glancing at him worriedly. Why is he here? I felt as if I was going crazy the longer I stared at him. I felt responsible for everything. I tapped my feet repeatedly, waiting for the lecture to end. As soon as the class ended, I packed my things and left the lecture hall. Yoongi disappeared even before I could get to him. Where did he go?
"Oh! Noona!" Someone called out from behind me. I turned to find the Yangcha rushing up to me with his usual bright beam. It was the kid Minho bullied.
"Oh, Yangcha. How have you been?" I smiled, patting his shoulder. He looks a lot better now. He must be doing well. I'm happy for him.
"I'm fine, noona. I hope you're doing well too!" Yangcha cutely smiled at me. Just then, I caught a glimpse of Yoongi walking down the far end of the hallway. I have to go.
"Look, noona is in a hurry right now. How about we have ice cream after school?" I smiled, turning to grin at him. I really have to go..!
"Okay! I'll be waiting for you!" He smiled before jogging off in the opposite direction. I quickly dashed down the hallway, through the cafeteria, and up a few flights of stairs.
"Yoongi!" I called out. I was completely out of breath when I landed on the 6th floor. Why is he in this area of the university? The 6th floor is the auditorium, and it's usually empty unless there's an event. Yoongi turned to look at me with a dull stare.
"Yoongi!" I rushed after him when he quickly turned and walked away in a hurry. Why is he running away from me? I sprinted after him to grab his arm, but he hastily pushed my hands away in irritation. His reaction caused my heart to drop heavily.
"Wae?" I asked, grabbing onto his arm again. He quickly glanced away with a sullen look on his face.
"It's none of your business," He muttered, taking a step away from me. There were dark circles under his eyes. He needs help.
"Do you have it with you?" I asked, frantically searching his pockets. I won't let him do this to himself! I swiftly ran my fingers across his shirt's pocket until I felt the package. I quickly slipped my fingers inside before pulling out a pack of the drugs. Yoongi tried to snatch it from me, but I took a step back in disbelief. Why is he still doing this? He collapsed yesterday!
