"This is when they have detention with Ms Darbus." Elena said.

"Oh man, we got in so much trouble." Troy said.

"Yeah we did." Chad said.

"Was it that bad?" Martha asked.

"Yep!" Was all Troy and Chad said.

Darbus Style

Ms Darbus:
Gold, More gold,

She walks past Troy climbing the ladder and Chad painting the tree

Walks past Gabriella painting the moon

Ms Darbus:
Paint, paint,
Let's go

"Wow, Ms D, this is your style of detention, that's torture." Zeke said.

Taylor walks to Gabriella with a paper with information about Gabriella in it

Taylor:
The answer is yes,

"To what?" All the boys said.

Gabriella:
Huh?

Sharpay and Ryan listening to their conversation

Taylor:
Our scholastic decathlon teamhas its first competition next week,
And there is certainly a spot for you,

"Of course its going to be about that." Chad said and Taylor smacked him on the head.

Gabriella looks at the paper in Taylor's hand

Gabriella:
Where did those come from?

Taylor:
Didn't you put them in my locker?

Gabriella:
Of course not,

Sharpay and Ryan smirk at each other

"So it was you guys." Taylor and Gabriella said.

Taylor:
Well, we'd love to have you on our team,
We meet almost every day after school,
Please?

Gabriella:
I need to catch up on the curriculum here before I think about joining any clubs,

Sharpay walks towards Taylor and Gabriella

Sharpay:
Well, what a perfect way to get caught up,
Meeting with the smartest kids in school,
What a generous offer, Taylor,

Ms Darbus walks towards them

Ms Darbus:
So many new faces in detention today,
I hope you don't make a habit of it,
But the drama club can always use an extra hand,
And while we are working,
Let us probe the mounting evils of cell phones,

Troy sitting on top of the tree, stapling paper leaves on the tree

Changes to the Gym, Basketball practice

Coach Bolton blows his whistle

Coach Bolton:
Come on, guys, huddle up,

They all huddle up

We got two weeks to the big game,

Coach Bolton looks around and doesn't see Troy and Chad

Where's Troy and Chad?,

Everyone looks around

Don't make me ask again,
Loudly: Where's Troy and Chad?

Everyone:
Detention,

Coach Bolton sighs and hands the assistant coach his clipboard

Assistant Coach blows his whistle and the boys go back to practice

Ms Darbus:
Perhaps the most heinous example of cell phone abuse is ringing in the theater, 

Chad sleeping inside the tree, Troy tickling Chad's nose with the end of the paper leaf and  pulling the string back up

"Hahaha." Everyone was laughing.

"Hey, you can actually fall asleep by listening to Ms Darbus talking." Chad said.

What temerity,
The theatre is a temple of art, 
A precious cornucopia of creative energy,

Coach Bolton walks inside the auditiorium 

Coach Bolton:
Where's my team, Darbus?,

Troy sits up on the tree and Chad wakes up

What the heck are those two doing in a tree? 

Ms Darbus:
It's called crime and punishment, Bolton, 
Besides, proximity to the artsis cleansing for the soul, 

Coach Bolton:
Can we have a talk, please,

And you two, in the gym, now

Troy jumps off the tree and pulls Chad out from the tree and they walk to the gym

"You guys got into a lot of trouble, didn't you?" Kelsi said.

"You guys never get along, do you?" Mrs Bolton said to her husband and her son's high school teacher.
