(Y/N) was abandoned and left at an orphanage by her parents at 5. She never knew why, though she was determined to find out. A few months of not being adopted later, she and a few other children around her age had been taken by the same man, to a suspicious looking building deep in the forest, far away from civilisation. They were then placed in cells, located in the building. From then on, the children learnt they were taken by a bunch of mad scientists, and were doing experiments on them with animal DNA. (Y/N) heard them talking about it, and learnt it was called Project Spliced, or Project Adveniat Regnum, Latin for "Kingdom Come". These experiments were held for multiple reasons, such as to find the mystery of evolution, cures for diseases, and potentially immortality. (Y/N) had been tested in with multiple DNA samples, and didn't know what they were, but knew that they were dangerous. They were so dangerous and painful that most of the children had passed away because of them, and (Y/N) was one of the lucky few who lived.
Because of these tests, mutations began happening to (Y/N). She was now 11, and trying to get used to the things changing. She could talk to animals after a lot of trying and testing. She had a heightened hunger due to her second stomach, she could run and climb very fast, and had a sharper sense of smell. Unfortunately, (Y/N) had a lack in eyesight, which she needed glasses for. She could also be really aggressive at times, but other than that, she was calm and collected.
At 14, she was released as a "failed experiment", though everything was going fine. She learnt how to live herself, in the wild. She was found by a hunter who was passing the area, and luckily, he was a kind man, and let (Y/N) stay with him to relearn the ways of normal humans. She had been admitted to therapy after this, to help her. She was done after a year. One day, when she was 15, an escaped Splice escaped [duh] and wrecked havoc upon the city. (Y/N) couldn't remember much, but she remembered gunshots and a large thump before she passed out. When she was 19, she was accepted to Hopes Peak Academy under the title "Ultimate Sound Impressionist", as another side effect of the tests was that she could mimic noises with extreme accuracy after she heard them. She was really quiet there, and she thought she had no chance of making any friends. The closest she got to making a friend was with Nagito Komaeda, a student who was also weird, just like her!
One night, (Y/N) decided to take a calm walk along the beach. As she was walking past Monokuma Rock, she heard a boy talking to himself. Upon further inspection,
(Y/N) saw it was Gundham Tanaka, talking to his Four Dark Devas of Destruction. (Y/N) had wanted to get to know him, as he too loved animals. Gundham apparently heard her walking along, so he shouted out "Wh-Who's there? Show yourself, mortal!" (Y/N) walked into the light, and Gundham relaxed, knowing that she wouldn't kill him. They stayed up all night, just talking.
