Moving to Forks Washington

The year was 1975. But anyway, my friends and I sat in Eric's basement,

"My daddy told me that a new family moved here. There's supposed to be a new guy at the hospital. He and his wife supposedly have kids our age." Jackie, one of my best friends said, "my mom told me too." I said, "mine too. Well I overheard her saying it to Red." Eric said shrugging.

"That's cool." Donna said, She was leaning against Eric, they sat on the couch, cuddled up together. Kelso was sitting next to them, Hyde was in his normal seat, Jackie was sitting on Kelso and Fez was sitting on a chair next to me.

"Oh crap, I have a test in bio tomorrow." I say groaning before standing up, I bent down and fixed my pants, before slipping on my jacket, the cold Wisconsin air in December was going to freeze my whole body if I didn't.

"Bye guys! Eric I'm going out from upstairs, I left my keys up there." I say, he nods, "alright. Bye Meadow." He said, I grabbed my purse and waved bye to my friends before going up the stairs.

Kitty was in the kitchen making a pie. "Bye Mrs. Forman." I say, she turns to me and smiles, "oh! I made an extra pie. I know your mom loves pie." She said running over to the fridge and pulling out a pie.

"Thank you." I say grabbing it from her and grabbing my keys, "and Meadow." She said, I turned to her,

"It's Kitty." She said giving me a smile and a little giggle before going back to her pie.

I nodded and smiled back before walking outside to my car, Red was cleaning the garage.

"Bye Mr. Forman." I say, "bye." He said giving me a little wave before going over to the fridge and pulling out a beer.

I drove home and gave my mom the pie, to which she instantly cut herself a piece.

"I have to go study." I say going upstairs, I went into my room and studied for a while before mom called me down for dinner. My dad was at the table, taking a sip of drink.

"Hey dad." I say, giving him a big smile before sitting down. "Hey darling." He said giving me a smile as a sat down, putting the little rag over my lap as mom placed some bowls on the table filled with food.

"Mr. Burkhart has invited us to his house this weekend, he is having a little party to welcome the new family that moved here recently and who's working at the hospital, with us." Mom said sitting down, "you are coming too Meadow. I know Jackie will be there, Donna and Eric, I'm not sure about the other three. You know how her dad feels about Kelso." She said, "I know." I say laughing at the stupidity of my friends.

When we finished dinner, I washed the dishes and went upstairs, I turned on my record player, playing the new Queen album, A night at the opera.

I studied my notes before taking a hot shower and putting my hair in curlers that I could sleep in before sliding into my bed and falling asleep, my record player was off and my radio was on, I always woke up from the morning announcer saying good morning. Which put me in a good mood.
