Knock! Knock!
Alejandro looked up from the homework on his desk. To his surprise, he saw Kairi at his window. He quickly opened up the window and watched as Kairi crawled into the room. Kairi closed the window and stood there, tears dripping down his face. Alejandro stared, worry growing in his chest.
"Kairi, what happened?" Alejandro asked.
"Mattia, it's always Mattia." Kairi said lowly.
Kairi walked over and hugged Alejandro, crying more. Alejandro wrapped his arms around the smaller boy and held him. Alejandro waddled with Kairi to his bed and sat down as Kairi wet his shirt more and more with big tears. Kairi sat up and looked at Alejandro.
"Why am I such an idiot? Mattia's so bad for me." Kairi spoke aloud.
"It's not your fault he's toxic, Kai." Alejandro reassured him.
"Yeah, but it's my fault for falling for him, Ale." Kairi said, slightly embarrassed.
"It's going to be okay." Alejandro said.
Kairi stood up. "Is it? I thought he was my everything and then he goes and stabs me in the back like this? All I knew about love is completely destroyed!" Kairi cried harder.
Alejandro stood up, "Not everything, okay? Just because he broke your heart doesn't mean you should just give up on love. He just wasn't right for you and now you see that."
Kairi stared at him with worn out eyes. "I can't do this, Ale." He turned to the window.
"Kairi, come on. Don't go." Alejandro pleaded.
"I'll just go cry at home, it's whatever." Kairi said bluntly.
"No, Kai, wait!" Alejandro grabbed Kairi, who was almost halfway out the window.
"What?" Kairi furrowed his brows at him.
Alejandro looked at Kairi's lips and kissed him. The two melted into each other. And suddenly Kairi felt what he had been missing from Mattia.
