A Fine Line Between Love and Hate

Chapter 7

Hey everyone,

So I would like to make an apology for being away for so long and I know that I shouldnt have but I've been in a rut with this story and this site. However, I feel I can continue writing this story again as I am beginning to enjoy it and that is what I was missing before. I just cant write something I dont enjoy. The sun shone in through the curtains awaking me from my dreamless sleep. I looked down to see Matt's heavy, tattooed arm wrapped around me tightly. I couldn't stop the small smile that crept on to my face as he was beginning to turn back into the person I fell in love with. Maybe I should have cut Brian out of my life a long time ago.

I began to trace the outline of his detailed tattoo that was permanently inked on his soft skin, reminiscing of when I used to do this to him every morning. We used to be the perfect couple back then and none of the horrible events were taking place, we were so much happier. I wished and prayed with everything I had that we could go back to that.  

"I've missed you doing that," he mumbled, his eyes still closed and his voice hoarse from the deep sleep he had just been in. 

"Me too. I've missed waking up like this," I told him as he slowly opened his eyes, revealing those hazel orbs that always took my breath away. It made my heart ache just looking into them. I wanted this to be a clean slate so we can start fresh and forget about all the horrible things that happened. I just wanted the old Matt back. 

He looked at me and his eyes scanned over my face, for the first time really looking at me, seeing the damage he had cause. He rolled on top of me and hovered over me, his muscular body covering my petit one.

"I'm so sorry baby, for everything. I promise I'll make it up to you. I'll never hurt you again," he told me as he leaned down and placed gentle kisses along my bruises. His firm lips softly pressed against my face and for the first time in a long time I felt the electricity such though me and my body awaken to his touch.

"I'm sorry too. I should have been a better fiancee then this wouldn't have happened. You wouldn't have felt the need to get mad at me," I said, hoping that this was the end.

He buried his face into the crook of my neck and placed tender kisses on my skin, making me feel loved and wanted after months of wanting this. "I love you, Jade with all my heart. All I ever wanted was for us to be happy and it to be just you and me," he said.

"I love you too. It's always going to be you," I replied.

He looked up and I could see the love swirling in his eyes which made my heart swell and my mind heal from the past. The memories faded like they didn't matter anymore. It was time to move on and be happy for a change. He leant into me and his lips connected with mine in a soft and loving kiss. It sent waves of pleasure and love through my body. It felt like we hadn't kissed in a long time. Our lips moved in sync as his tongue traced my bottom lip, begging for entrance which I granted. Our tongues united and danced passionately, feeling and tasting everything.

We broke apart out of breath and he leant his forehead on mine, smiling at me. It was the first smile to dawn his lips for a long time. "We better get moving. There's the BBQ today that we promised to go to," he reminded me which made me groan. 

"I don't want to go," I told him. "Cant we just stay here and forget the world?"

"I wish we could but it is her birthday after all. Just keep your distance from Brian and everything will be fine," he said and placed a kiss on my forehead. He got up from me and headed to the en suite bathroom, closing the door behind him.
