(Varian) Descedant of a snake part 2

When the man leaves, (Y/N) hears a russle in the tree then a boy (around 16) falls from it. She noticed the snake in his hair and helped him up. He groaned at the sudden pain in his head, "Ugh wha- GAH," he screamed and fell back, "Please don't tell anyone you saw me!" covering his eyes, the snake hissed at the girl. "What? Wait aren't you the person those villagers were after?" "Yes I am but I swear I didn't hurt anybody." (Y/N) couldn't believe it but he could be telling the truth.

She interrogated him with questions, "Are you a thief?" "Can you turn people into stone?" "Why didn't you have that affect on me?" Varian blinked and answered, "Yes I did steal but I was really hungry and cold. Yes and only a few but I don't why you didn't turn."
Y/N pursed her lips, wondering if he could be lying or not. "What's your name?" Varian introduces himself.

"My name is Y/N, and one more question where did you come from?" "I'm from Athens but I was kicked out because of how I looked. So I don't have a home—Hey can I hide at your home please?" Y/N raised her brow and said no.
Varian pleads with her until she says yes.
"Fine you can." Varian smiles as Y/N collects her books and they head to her house.

Y/N and Varian step inside, "Would you like anything?" Varian nods and Y/N gives him some fruit. As he ate, Y/N sat down at her desk flipping through the pages of her book of myths. She knew she read something about Medusa and she quickly made the comparisons of the myth and the boy she met. Of they similar traits such as the obvious snakes in their hair and could turn people into stone.
"What are you looking at?" Varian asked while the snake ate a slice of an apple. "You're very strange," She said bluntly "but it doesn't take away that snake in your hair." Varian picked up her book and read about the section, "Huh I never thought I'd be related to Medusa since I didn't know anyone who looked like me." Y/N thought 'How could he not know anyone that looked like him? Does he have parents? If not then why?'  Her parents, who somehow was ok with Varian staying. They were pretty proud that their daughter had a friend.
Coming out from the bedroom, her father, Eli called for Y/N. Y/N was reading in her room with Varian after she had heard her father and closed her book. "Yes father?" "I need you to get some parts for me. Here's a list of the items I need for a project and while you're out, try to be careful, There's a lot of criminals about." Y/N scanned over the parchment and said, "Yes sir, I'll be careful." She hugged her father and walked to the market. Meanwhile Varian was sleeping, it felt like it was ages ago since he had a good nights sleep. Until that was cut short by a loud thumping of soldiers coming into the house. "WHERE IS HE?!" A soldier demanded as Eli and Y/N's mother fearfully shuddered. The soldiers look through the house and eventually finding Varian under a desk, he yelled, "LET ME GO!!" He opened his eyes, letting his own power turn the soldier to stone. Two other soldiers handcuffed the scared boy, bringing him to Perseus, the slayer of Medusa.

Perseus' voice boomed as the boy was brought in front of him, "Oh my! I never truly thought a descendant of that wicked snake would be here before me." He raised his sword, still having the blood of Medusa stained on it, pointing it to Varian's neck. "I've heard the trouble you have caused, young man. Once I hear trouble I will always conquer it." Varian let out a hiss and as if on cue, Y/N had come.  "Y/N!" Varian shouted alerted the soldiers.

Y/N drew out her father's sword and fought with the charging soldiers. One of them knocked her back, sending the sword out of her hand. "Now where was I?" Perseus lifted up his sword and....

An unfamiliar noise rung in Y/N's ears, she looked over and saw Perseus in stone. "Varian!" She ran to him and catching him as he looked as if he was about to faint.
Varian had woken up an hour later,at Y/N's house only to see Y/N lying beside him. Varian smiled when she awoke , "Hey how are you feeling?" She asked, concern in her voice. "I'm good, a little lightheaded but I'm good. Hey uh thank you for saving me." "You saved yourself, you don't have to thank me for something I didn't do." "No I mean you saving me from those villagers and being discreet because you didn't want me to get hurt. Another thing thank you for caring." "You're welcome." The end
