Thirteen - Bye?

Jennie's POV

"So let me get this straight. You made up and now you like her?" Nayeon questioned Lisa in the cafeteria, and yes she asked me to call her Lisa.

My heart fluttered hearing Nayeon's question that Lisa actually likes me??

"Wait what? You like me?" I asked in confusion, facing Lisa.

Then she gave a soft smile and suddenly blurted, "I like you," making me feel flustered.

"Girl? I-" Nayeon face palmed herself.

"W-what?! I was just asking?" I defended myself.

"Would you think she'll randomly hug someone?" Nayeon asked in a sarcastic tone, which made me think.

"Uhm..maybe?" I answered with uncertainty and I heard Lisa chuckle.

"Oh my gosh, poor Lisa," she said, shaking her head as she leaned on Jeongyeon, who was beside her.

"So how did you made up?" Nayeon faced Lisa, wriggling her eyebrows.

"Oh she k—" Lisa was about to answer but I was quick to respond.

I instantly stepped on Lisa's foot, shocked at her words.

"She k- k-" she looked at me and I glared at her, stepping harder.

"She k- k-gave..yes gave me an apology," she managed to say which made me release my foot.

That was fucking close.

"Hmmm, if you say so," Nayeon looked at me with disbelief but I just gave her a forced smile.

The bell finally rang and all of us stood up.

Nayeon didn't bother to drop me in class, saying that I have Lisa to do that, making me roll my eyes.

And from that moment, Lisa didn't stop looking at me, and that made me more confused as hell!

When I was taking notes, she would face me.

When I was gonna speak, she would stare at me.

When I was gonna go to the comfort room, she was gonna look at me with her puppy eyes.

Gosh.

Was this seriously the Lisa who always caused trouble?

I mean it's not like I don't like it but it's not that I like it?

Ugh! This is confusing the hell out of me!

"Stop!" I turned to her when she was following me to visit Nayeon's class.

"Why?" She asked in her cute voice.

Wtf?

"Just what are you doing?" I asked her, raising a brow.

I have trust issues, okay? I don't just believe that she suddenly likes me out of the blue after every competition we've been through.

"Why do you suddenly like me?" I asked her and she just gave me a smile and suddenly leaned on my ear.

"Because you're Jennie Kim," she whispered, making my heart skip a beat.

"Ahh! Stop! Stop making me get flustered!" I told her and I saw her frown, which made me feel a pang in my chest.

"Y-you don't like it?" She asked in a disappointed tone.

"I don't know. Give me space first, okay? I need time to think," I honestly told her and she nodded.

I definitely need to think this through...

And she really did...

She literally gave me space...

Ever since I said that, there was no sign of her anywhere, like she vanished into thin air.
