You were a friend ,
Or so I thought;
You were a blessing ,
Or so I considered;
You were an engima,
Or so I felt;
You were the reason of my existence,
Or so I guessed;
You were the soul to my body,
Or so I was mislead;
You were the icing to my cake,
Or so I believed;
You were the honey to my soul,
Or so was my illusion;
You were the cherry on the top,
Or so was my imagination;
You were the oxygen of my life,
Or so I fathom;
But even that did not prevent you from drifting apart,
Not once did you think of me,
Went away beyond the stars;
Not once did you think that I am alone,
Without anyone to care or comfort
Not for once did you come back,
Not for once did you remember,
That I am waiting for you
My best friend....I will be waiting for you,
For you are the oxygen of my life,
And the reason for my existence.
