Chapter 3

When I walked inside my home I knew nobody would notice I was out for so long. I predicated yelling and screaming but it was so quiet, I walked into Stacys room and saw Stacy and Lily surrounding mum trying to convince her to leave dad, which I saw was a waste of time, mum wouldnt ever listen because she thought we needed a dad in a life but to be honest we never really had one, he was never around to help us anyways. I joined my mum and sisters and tried to cheer up mum.

We sat and laughed and I told them about my final exams and how excited I was to finish. As we talked the door slammed loudly and that means dad was home. We all hated when he came home, as he lived off fighting with mum.

Mum got up and ran to make him dinner as she would do anything not to fight with him.

When mum left I decided to go to my room and continue studying for Chemistry and English. I wanted to smash these exams so I can escape my own home and live a life were I can get all that my mum and sisters desire. As I sat and studied for chem I couldn't help but think about Wade Wilson and how together his life was at such a young age, I mean he can't be more than 25 years old and he lives a life I can only dream about.

After finally finishing our exams our year group decided to throw a party at a old barn house. I usually dont go to parties but I had been stuck in my room for way to long. Mary and I got a lift with Ian and his friends, when we got there it seemed everyone was already drunk. I stood with Mary and I could tell ian wanted me to leave, so I walked around conversing with some girls about the chem and biology exam. After a while it started to get so crowded in the barn so I walked outside and noticed that Ians car was gone. I wondered back inside looking for Mary till Chad one of Ians friend told me they got into a fight and left. I started to panic and couldn't believe Mary had left me stranded like that. My face must have expressed my feelings because Chad had walked up to me checking if i was ok.

"You ok kath?" He said

"Ian's car was my ride and now I have no way home" I said while I looked around the room.

"Ill borrow Harry's car and take you home if you like?"

"If its not too much trouble thank you chad" I said as polite as I could be

He walked me to Harrys red mustang and we drove back. As we drove he started making small talk and explaining how he was going to miss not seeing me, which I found odd because I hardly spoke to him all year. The only time we spoke was when I was with Mary visiting Ian.

I started to get alittle scared by his tone and his constant need to touch my thigh. We were 10mins away from my house and couldn't wait to get out of the car. We stopped at a red light and he moved toward me touching my knee and grabbing my face. I began to scream for him to stop and manged to slap him right across his face.

"Bitch!"

I went silent and got out the car, I could hear him screaming but I continued to walk and he eventually drove off when cars started to beep. I started walking home in my nude stiletto heels which made my feet feel like they were on fire and a short black boobtube dress. I could tell people were staring but I didnt care I just wanted to go home and change.

While walking with my head down I could hear a group of men laugh loudly as they left a restaurant. I walked around them till one of them said " Miss Highland"

I stopped and began to panic, I looked up slowly and it was Wade Wilson wearing a white t shirt and black jeans, he looked so handsome.

"Wade, hi" I said quietly while his 3 friends watched me.

"Are you ok?" Wade said walking closer toward me.

"Im fine just going home" I said trying to fake a smile.
