Chapter 38- Saving Me

Four Weeks Later

"Oh my god!"

"What?!" Thalia looked frantically at my face

"Now I remembered."

"Remembered what?"

"It was a question I asked you but you never answered."

"Okay."

"The day before we left, who put me back in my tent?"

"You really don't remember anything do you?" I shook my head.

"Adam he took you back."

"Adam?"

"He took me back to my tent?"

"Yeah. You know he had blood on his knuckles." Blood on his knuckles?

"How do you know he took me back." When I was coming back with half drunk Luke. I saw him going into your tent and then coming back out. So I asked what was he doing and he told me you got drunk and fell asleep so he took you back to your tent."

Why is it that I feel that there's more to that story?

"That's all?"

"That's all that I remember happening."

I think I should talk to the source. Adam.

I drove to Adam's place and knocked on his door.

"Hello Halley." Adam open and wiggled his eyebrows. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and no shirt on. Oh gosh he can't be serious

"Adam what happened to you close?"

"I just got out of the shower."

"And I guess you forgot your close."

"Just for you." He winked and I rolled my eyes

"Can you put your close on, I can't take you serious."

"Am I distracting you." He wiggled his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes. Actually he kinda is distracting me with hot body but I clearly was not going to say that. He went upstairs and came back with just a sweat pants on.

"What happen to your shirt?"

"Come on at least I put on pants." I rolled my eyes

"Okay so what's up?" He sat across from me I had my legs crisscross and he did too.

"Okay so throwback to the Electric Forest." He nodded

"Thalia apparently told me, You were the one that took me back to my tent." He nodded

"And you had bloody knuckles. What happen?" His muscles stiffen and he clenched his jaw.

"Adam?" He snapped back and looked straight into my eyes.

"Nothing I just scrapped my knuckled with a tree when I was carrying you." That's a lie, that's not the story I can feel it.

"So that's all that happen?" I raised my eyebrows

"Okay fine, that's not the truth." He looked down at his hands.

"Adam.What happen?"

"Okay so I was dance and I got tired and I saw you against a tree. So I went over and there was a guy kissing you and you seemed to like it." What I kissed a guy?

"But as I got closer it wasn't that you liked it, you were screaming for help. Halley you were almost raped." I felt my heart drop and my stomach clenched. Adam grabbed my hand and gave it a tight squeeze.

"I was there in time though. I punched him, unconscious. Then I carried you back to your tent." I began crying, the tears were streaming down my face. I suddenly felt weak and vulnerable. Adam quickly came closer to me and pulled me to his chest.

"It's okay. Don't worry I was there in time." He rubbed my arm

"I will never let anyone hurt you, Halley." My hands were shaking. I was almost raped?

After a few minutes I was calmed down and I was crying less.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want to see you hurt like this." I frowned

"Besides that, thank you." My chest was rising up and down and my breath was little shaken up from all the crying.

"For what?" He looked directly into my eyes

"For saving me." He smiled sincerely. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and hugged him tightly.

"You don't have to thank me. It's my duty to save my puppy." He chuckled and I chuckled into his chest.

"Let's get ice cream." I nodded and smiled.

Short chapter. Halley finds out the truth after four weeks of not knowing a single thing...(2 Chapters left) sorry for the late update
